Only question that remains is who we get in the final... Think WI will be an easier proposition (providing we get Gayle out) but it would be satisfying to beat India on their own patch!

Stokes blew that, shocking to give that away from that position. In other news, thankfully I really don't care much for T20.

At half time the Windies were massive favourites, I've been through the ringer all afternoon and it's so galling to throw it away when you're in that position of having 19 to play with off the last over. Awful last over from Stokes, I just can't believe he bowled 4 of the same delivery when he saw what was happening. Throw in a slower ball or a bouncer or bowl it wider of off stump. Don't give him 4 length balls in his arc. I hope he's absolutely distraught, and I hope he uses that pain to learn from in the future. He's a strong character.

Gut wrenching finish.
Didn't think England had enough runs on the board but then bowled really well until the last over.

I can't work out if I'm more gutted or more furious at Stokes.

Having said that, I think it was a poor decision to reprieve Samuels. That was the key moment in the match.

Jordan's dot-ball the previous over, to keep Samuels away from the strike, could, ironically, have cost England the match.
I'm in the 'gutted for Stokes' camp. He's a fantastic player for England, in all three formats of the game, and he'll take a while to recover from this ordeal - but Braithwaite was simply a monster in the way he played him.

I'm in the "I''m delighted to be in Gran Camaria where they don't follow cricket at all" camp.
Followed on Twitter and could not believe that final over... So glad I don't have to watch British Media replaying constantly. I intend to avoid seeing any of the final at all thank you

Horrible last innings but I think overall England can hold their heads high that they bounced back from a horrible opening defeat to make the final.

Considering that they nearly went out in the Afghanistan match they played some brilliant cricket.
In the final you could blame the drop catch, the life for Samuels when caught behind, top order not getting runs, Root caught off his gloves ramping, Ali's duck etc. Don't think you can single Stokes out for the brickbats, where do you bowl to a monster like Braithwaite? As Macca said, if Samuel's had nicked a single off Jordan would he have hit Stokes like that in the next over ?
Small margins.

So Jake Ball did his very best to lose it for us today with some atrocious bowling, but a phenomenal final over from Wood seals the win by 2 runs!
Looking forward to the ICC Champions Trophy and good summer of test matches vs SA!

Fabulous last over from Wood.
I can remember when 250 was considered sufficient to win a one day game. Not any longer.
