Having given it some thought, my opinion is that IF he did indeed bite him, then we should get rid. It's not the kind of behaviour I want of a Stockport County player, and if he did it once, who's to say he won't do it again? That might not sit right with some, but biting is just plain wrong, and it has no place at County. I really hope it transpires that he didn't, because I think he's got some quality about him. Think this biting frenzy is a Vegas wind up & innocent until proved guilty. 2 morals to this story. 1. Referee from Oldham failure to control the match up to the incident. 2. Rule's falling for Vegas's shenanigans. Needs to be a lot more professional. I like 3500 other County fans dont ever want to see the likes of Marsden or Oldham evere 'officiating' again at any Stockport County match. Had enough of officials who dont appear to have a clue. Let's hope we get an official tomorrow who knows what he is doing and referees fairly.

We are very slow to start to control the game so tomorrow I would like to see a County side who get into gear right from the start. We should be scoring goals earlier and certainly in the first half which in turn makes life a lot easier. Said this before and will say it again , stop giving away needless free kicks which only put the side under unnecessary pressure. EX -league players should know this, and as Connolly said they nee to start talking to each other.
I'm looking forward to a win tomorrow but it will probably end up as a goalless draw.

With regard to Rule I might respectfully disagree guys. In my opinion, if he has bitten a Staly player the only question in my mind about his future is whether or not he is a liability. If we decide we can rely on him, and he is available for most of the season and has the skill to be a big part of a promotion team, I couldn't give a toss if he bites opponents.
I would have agreed if we had no chance of promotion, or were mid table in Conference/L2, but right now I want to get out of this division at all costs. If biting people and gamesmanship will get us up, I'm past caring. We've had enough s*** and it's about time we play the game with refs etc. An ugly promotion will suit me just fine! Look at Suarez, if he had won the league for Liverpool a few seasons ago I doubt many scousers would lose sleep over his disciplinary record. We can go back to being good and proper when we are where we need to be, but for now, promotion at any cost is the order of the day!

yeah, i agree with that gts. i think another factor here might be that we paid a fee for rule as well IIRC.

If he's found to have bitten an opponent, what example is that setting? I respect your opinions gts/ars, but I stick by my view. Biting an opponent is monumentally bad, however valuable he is to the team. Anyway, if we can't obtain conclusive proof either way, then only Glenn himself and the Staly player will know for sure. One thing is for sure, aside from generating negative PR for the club, he will be a marked man for the rest of this season, both by opponents and officials.

agree that it's monumentally bad. not sure i can completely adopt a 'win at all costs' mentality. just more of one than usual.

I fully understand that gaz. Glenn needs to make sure his head is right before he can be an asset to us either way. Otherwise he'll be a liability and that is not what we need or want.

If it turns out he has intentionally bitten his opponent I certainly think a public apology. Club ban and fining of wages is the minimum punishment he should get IF he did in fact do anything!
I find it hard to believe he did though. Stalybridge seem to have a real small man syndrome when it comes to County for some reason.
