Some poor fool has had to go out of his way to find Arnott’s Tim Tams just for that video (probably at taxpayers expense) - like when a young, naive apprentice gets sent down to the shops on a wind up for a glass hammer, a long weight or Arnott’s f***ing Tim Tams!

It seems that the man can't open his gob without spouting half-truths, bullsh*t or outright lies. This country has always been an independent trading nation. How did we manage to sell £6 billion worth of stuff to Australia last year, and the year before that when the EU doesn't actually have a trade deal with Australia? f*** off Johnson! I for one am sick of the sight of his smug self-satisfied mug, almost as sick of the sound of the mug punters who uncritically support the tosser while the country goes to hell in a f***ing handcart while the useless b*st*rd and the arse-licking sycophants he surrounds himself with congratulate themselves on the "success" of their management of the covid-19 crisis in which 55000+ people have lost their lives, due in no small measure to an unpleasant mixture of laissez-faire political dogma, general inability to give a sh*t and cluelessness.

If there was any justice, Johnson would have been the only British casualty in this Covid-19 crisis.
My kids and their mother lost a grandmother and Mother on HIS watch, because of him and his inability to do the right thing at the right time - despite his massive f***ing lies to the contrary.
She was a decent, hardworking, generous, kind-hearted woman who never expected anything off anyone unless she'd earned it and would genuinely have given her last penny to someone who needed it more, unconditionally so - expecting nothing in return except to see that penny make a difference in that person's life.
Boris f***ing Johnson and his lying f***ing government is the biggest f***ing virus in this country and they're the b*st*rds responsible.
Too much vitriol and profanity? Nah, not nearly enough by f***ing half.
f*** off, Johnson, you lying, Tory slug. If there is a second wave, I would'nt bat an eyelid if you're the f***ing next statistic.

I'm beginning to wonder what it is that motivates some members of this Government. Raab tells us, without any apparent irony that 'taking the knee' in support of BLM feels like subjugation. Unlike standing for the national anthem out of 'respect' for an unelected Head of State, there by the grace of God, accident of birth and a legacy of the medieval period. Clearly being white, male, English and a Tory qualifies one for special status among the annointed.

I think Raab is following orders from Cummings on this one. Who is talking about the much vaunted now failed track and trace app the tories have developed at ridiculously high expense when they were offered Germany’s highly effective one for free? There are some very Machiavellian goings on right now.

What happened there, Boris? A government of f**kwits elected by f**kwits - it stands to reason really, doesn't it.

I think Raab is following orders from Cummings on this one. Who is talking about the much vaunted now failed track and trace app the tories have developed at ridiculously high expense when they were offered Germany’s highly effective one for free? There are some very Machiavellian goings on right now. I think you're right and I note that they've now quietly abandoned it and gone over to the Google version however they continue to be shackled by their increasingly bizarre world view, propped up by a one-eyed interpretation of history which seems to think that it is possible for this country to reprise the economic success it had as founder of the industrial revolution in the 18th and early 19th century's. They don't seem capable of viewing anything EU countries do dispassionately, as something of value that could be copied. They are driven by the kind of messianic fervour generally associated with religious nutjobs the world over and anyone not sharing the purity of true belief is to be purged hence the reason why the current cabinet appears so bereft of talent. Talent is not required, merely a belief in the word whether or not the word is likely to be ruinous for social cohesion or the economy upon which it very much depends is immaterial. Surely racism in any of its various guises remains one (there were others) of the main drivers of Brexit. The hysteria over foreign fruit pickers whilst ignoring immigrants without whom the NHS would long ago have ceased to function is but one example. The refusal of senior Government Ministers to acknowledge a problem with racism is another and one designed solely to shore up elements of their support. So extreme have they now become that they brazenly play the "race card" something Major refused to do, www.independent.co.uk/news/major-slaps-down-any-tory-attempt-to-play-race-card-1271054.htmlbut which Johnson, himself given to casual racism www.newstatesman.com/politics/uk/2019/06/boris-johnson-s-racist-insults-dog-whistles-and-slurs now seems keen to adopt as official policy. Johnson recently dropped the inquiry into anti muslim racism within the Tory Party. Lest we forget, this is a Party about whom Baroness Warsi recently described membership of as like being in an abusive relationship. Putting to one side the grotesque attempt at conflating membership of a political party for the purposes of advancing one's own career with involvement in an abusive relationship with all the emotional blackmail inherent is such things, particularly where children are involved, the Tory Party clearly has a race problem but Johnson isn't interested. He recently stood in front of parliament and said he understands national concerns about racism, and then appointed a poodle to head up yet another enquiry into the matter. This despite the fact that the recommendations made after the last one under David Lammy have been wholly ignored. Why a poodle? www.theguardian.com/world/2020/jun/15/dismay-over-adviser-chosen-set-up-uk-race-inequality-commission-munira-mirzaThat's why. Somebody who, 22 years after David Wilmott then Chief Constable of the Greater Manchester Police publicly admitted the GMP suffered institutional racism continues to deny such things exist. The fact of the matter is that you are more likely to be stopped, arrested or die in Police custody of you are black than if you are white, more likely to be stopped and fined under lockdown regulations if you're black than if you're white and Johnson feels that he can appoint an individual who has already publicly made her mind up on the subject to look at racism in this country. That he feels that he can do it with utter impunity speaks volumes for the social attitudes set light to by him and his fellow travellers in right wing political extremism found amongst the ERG, once considered nothing more than a cabal of swivel-eyed loonies on the fringes of the party but who now control it, and by extension the country.

Greece had their track and trace going in March. Not sure which one they are using but it seems to have worked. Our world beating one appears to be far from that as it can't even cope with the isle of Wight.

i'd still rather none of the things mentioned in her article were the case maccy, but i do appreciate the many pithy zingers in there:
"A strong sense of empires crumbling this week, as Led Zeppelin are no longer the biggest d**kheads ever to demand a plane respray."
"...Oliver Dowden. I note that Oliver is a Conservative culture secretary, which has historically been like being the Ku Klux Klan’s equalities wizard."
concluding "...the prime minister is having an incredibly cliched midlife crisis, and we’re all having to live in it. If this was Bake Off’s Paul Hollywood, then fine. I myself would get a couple of columns out of it; and in any case he’s only in charge of a baking tent, a Kawasaki Ninja and a semi-custom Big Dog Ridgeback (I’m told it doesn’t ride as good as it looks). But when they’re in charge of an entire country, shambolic pandemic response and some nuclear codes, it does feel like something we should all keep an eye on. A powerless one, yes: but still an eye."
excellent and depressing. most excellent things are at the moment.

The woman is cuttingly accurate.
I wish I could claim her as being a family member.
