They hid it in the groundsman's shed !!! It has been returned but very badly re-sited (on the cheap) as was expected. Unbelievable... I was worried it might have ended up at a scrap dealers...

The statue is worth more than the whole first team put together.
The Senior Seasider's Walking Football Squad are gearing up and polishing their boots in readiness for next season in League 1.

The statue is worth more than the whole first team put together. and on last week's evidence, more mobile than most of them as well...

Does anyone really believe the reason for that statue being removed? Bollards ! Considering its fans are seaside town folks who have to go where the work is their fans are loyal and strong supporting it is a disgrace to let a club - any club - fall into such a mess.

via the Johnstone's Paint Trophy in 2004! versus southend at the millenium stadium? did you go? i went to the previous one (v cambridge) in 2002, and then the play-off finals against yeovil, cardiff and west ham at wembley. it's brilliant being with someone you love as their team does something special (like get promoted to the premier league). I did ars!! I went with my Grandad to watch Blackpool Vs Southend in Cardiff! The second of 3 times in one year! I saw Wolves Vs Sheffield United in May 2003! Blackpool Vs Southend in March 2004 and Man United Vs Millwall in May 2004! I also went to Blackpool Vs Yeovil in 2007 but it was soured by the fact that it should have been County at Wembley 24 hours previously!! It was actually the last Blackpool game I went to with my Grandad! The last game at all was Kendal Town Vs County a few months later! A story that made it into my speech at his funeral!

I only ever saw County with him a couple of times but saw Blackpool a good 50+ times with him. His visits to Bloomfield Road got less frequent the older he got.
My two main memories are my first Blackpool game against Sheffield Wednesday in 2002 and the playoff final against Cardiff he was far too ill to be travelling to Wembley, he did muster the strength to watch it in the Cleveleys working men's club. He wasn't a well man he had Parkinson's disease, he could barely muster the strength to finish his pint. He just sat in silence staring at the TV showing no emotion as the game went on, I thought he was really suffering and felt terrible for taking him out but when the full time whistle went he jumped up and down, albeit slowly, and cheered and got another celebratory pint and literally shed a couple of tears that he got to see Blackpool have at least a season in the big time before he died.
Before he went a few years later he did have a little upturn and got to another couple of Blackpool games and a few Fleetwood games but the final whistle of the Cardiff game is something I'll never forget!

Sorry for rambling on a bit by the way it's just a story that is very close to me! Don't be, mate. Memories like those are what define us, and this is the best place to share them.

Yeah I'm glad I got to experience it! I remember in 2003 at the Millennium Stadium watching Wolves beat Sheffield United with my Dad! I'd never seen so many fans in one place as there were Wolves fans in Cardiff that day!
I'd only been a proper football fan 3 seasons prior and had seen 1 relegations and 3 close shaves! I didn't realise the buzz that surrounded success!!
