Lee Clark has resigned - who will take up the poisoned chalice ? List of names on a thumb-nail please. You'll get the job so long as your surname is Oyston. Really feel for the Tangerine fans as the club appears to be on a free fall.

Clarke has been in a terrible position, similar to Gary Ablett in 2009/10. No matter what it was an unwinnable situation, hopefully it doesn't ruin his reputation!

yes a great shame. I dont understand how someone can own a club and let it go under. when you consider how long the oyston family has been connected to the club. however you never know someone might just step in and stop the rot.

I dont understand how someone can own a club and let it go under. I think you can pretty much guarantee that what they're doing will be of great benefit to them in the long-term, and I don't think it will be of any benefit to Blackers. I hope I'm wrong about the latter. They're a truly great club. @ Lennie: What's Jimmy Armfield had to say lately? He must be feeling it as bad as anyone.

JA has been very quite, which has upset a lot of Dyed in the Wool Tangerines.
I think he has to be careful with his words given his role as Ambassador for the club.
Latest quote:- The former England captain spoke of a ‘sad’ situation, ‘mismanagement’ of the club and a ‘winter of discontent’ at Bloomfield Road.
He hasn't condemned anyone directly but the meaning is there.

I agree with you, he can't be criticised for remaining diplomatic given his position. I bet he's hurting as much as anyone, but he has to be careful as you say.
Not least for fear of rubbing those cowboys up the wrong way. It's a horrible situation, and we know only too well that sense of being in the dark and feeling helpless.
The sooner Oyston reaches his goal with the club and buggers off, the better. I just hope whoever comes in to take over appreciates the significant history of the club and treats it, and the fans with the respect they deserve.

i'm really glad jimmy (and my dad) got to see the wembley wins and the premier league; but those highs make all the downs since even worse. it's horrendous.

That is one of the things that helped me cope with my Granddad's death that he saw Blackpool rise up the leagues from League 2 to the Premier League in less than 10 years via the Johnstone's Paint Trophy in 2004!
Yet he passed before he could see his beloved Tangerines get destroyed so callously!

Irony.
QPR will apparently be hit with a £20m fine and a possible points deduction if they are relegated today for overspending (Financial Fair Play thingy) and at least having some ambition.
Blackpool are left alone by the Leagues when they have deliberately underspent on the playing/training budget despite having millions and no ambition.

via the Johnstone's Paint Trophy in 2004! versus southend at the millenium stadium? did you go? i went to the previous one (v cambridge) in 2002, and then the play-off finals against yeovil, cardiff and west ham at wembley. it's brilliant being with someone you love as their team does something special (like get promoted to the premier league). qpr's spending has been a joke len. just at the opposite end of the spectrum to blackpool's. have you seen they started their rebuilding the other day with a 21 year old winger from blyth spartans who has been working in his mum's paper shop and wasn't taken on after a trial at oldham recently? inspiring stuff...

The lads is called Rivers from Blyth.
He runs well, but his talents are shallow.
His Mum, Joan has played centre half all this season.

They hid it in the groundsman's shed !!! It has been returned but very badly re-sited (on the cheap) as was expected.

Sadly, not surprising behaviour from those in charge - but utterly disgraceful nonetheless.
