this from blackpool's AVFTT forum, adapted excellently from john cooper clarke:
"Evidently Oyston Town
The fkcin ground is fckin dead The fckin mushrooms fcked in't head The fkcin pies are fckin old The owners heart is fkcin cold The fckin cash is fckin gone On fckin loans to anyone Or anything not club related Fkcin Owen compensated £11 million fckin quid Remind me what the fck he did? This clubs been going fckin down Since we were moved to Oyston Town
Fckin Koko, fckin Sam The fkcin Oyston masterplan The envy of the football league I laugh so hard me eyeballs bleed Abuse a football institution With fckin Riga Revolution And fckin lies and fckin lies You see it in the fkcers eyes And every time the fkcer speaks The fckin place just fckin reeks Of sulphur from the XXXXXX clown The fcked up king of Oyston Town
Fckin Wembley, corporate wnk At least there's nowt for't Oyston bank Mushrooms on a fckin trip The turncoats all are fcking t1ts The real fans are fckin home With fckin heavy hearts, and some Will shed a fckin tear today When the band begin to play Abide with me, how fckin cruel When Oystons ripped this club in two I don't care if we're up or down We're fcked in fkcin Oyston Town"

i couldn't help reading it in cooper-clarke's raspy mancunian - it's got exactly the same rhythm as the original - and that made it even better.

like i've noted before, i always think 'wurzel gummidge'. either wurzel gummidge's dandy head or wurzel gumidge's rapist head depending on mood. be interesting to see the outcome, and then the longer term outcome. can anything part them from their beloved petty cash box?

Can we bring back the death penalty for this case and only this case... Nah, stocks and rancid fruit - preferably still in their tins!

Agreed, Gazz-man.
Gone-off tangerines would do the job rather nicely!

I have kept very quiet over the last 2 and a half weeks of the on-going court case. Any one interested should read the daily summaries at the top of the AVFTT website. They are long posts but underline the intricacies of the case. Please make you own judgement. One more day of questions and then the summing up to come. fansonline.net/blackpool/mb/index.php

From yesterday's Court Report on the Blackpool site following expert evidence from both sides as to the the valuation of the club -
"One interesting last thing from the Judge - he asked both sets of Counsel in the written representations to cover whether him making a large award to VB would damage the long term safety of the football club."
All evidence now given. Expecting a final judgement on Friday.
What a strange thing to announce if he hasn't already made his mind up yet ?
