I trust that my team Caen be assured of a warm welcome at your place this weekend, Eppers?! D'accord!

Yeah, sorry about that! But don't worry - Paris SG away this week will see Nice nicely out of the competition! (I just wish my guesses in certain other CH comps were as accurate!)

Took your time... Good to see you back on here, Sandy Senior! Well, I'd not REALLY been away, but with my abject lack of ability internet-wise (runs in the family, I think) the site hasn't seemed to want me for ages. And if I'm Jon Nolan's boot boy for much longer I think I'll give up again.

I can help you there, calliope... Post-count now increased, to take account of those you made on the previous site. Consider yourself un-Nolaned!

Here are the latest results:
Friday 28th November
Marseille (Sirius) 2-0 Nantes (eliminated)
Saturday 29th November
Paris St Germain (Big Fudge) 1-0 Nice (Calliope) - Calliope eliminated Caen (Epworth) 1-1 Montpellier (Hatter in Macc) - tie-break Rennes (Market Harborough) 2-0 Monaco (eliminated) Toulouse (eliminated) 2-3 Lorient (countyfan)
Sunday 30th November
Bordeaux (eliminated) 1-0 Lille (Downy) - Downy eliminated Evian Thonon Gaillard (Another Ruined Saturday) 2-0 Guingamp (eliminated) St Etienne (Shropshire) 3-0 Lyon (Sir Roger) - Sir Roger eliminated.
That means we bid a fond farewell to Calliope, Downy and Sir Roger. Thanks for playing chaps.
Still in the competition, we have:
Paris St Germain - Big Fudge St Etienne - Shropshire Caen - Epworth Lorient - countyfan Marseille - Sirius Rennes - Market Harborough Evian Thonon Gaillard - Another Ruined Saturday Montpellier - Hatter in Macc
But we need to lose one more player as Eppy and Maccy drew so there will have to be a tie-break. And we better make it quick, as the next round of fixtures start tomorrow night in Ligue 1!
So, with that in mind, could Eppy and Maccy please PM me their guesses to the following: What time will the first goal be scored in the Hyde v Worcester match this evening? (If you think it'll finish 0-0, just say 90 minutes).
The next fixtures will follow tomorrow morning once we know which of Eppy and Maccy has been eliminated.

Morning
The first goal was scored by Worcester (unsurprisingly) on 14 minutes last night. The guesses for the tie-break were as follows:
Maccy - 31 minutes Eppy - 48 minutes
So it's Eppy and Caen that we say goodbye to, as Maccy's Montpellier march on.
The next series of fixtures actually start tonight:
Tuesday 2nd December
Lorient (countyfan) v Marseille (Sirius)
Wednesday 3rd December
Bastia (eliminated) v Evian Thonon Gaillard (Another_Ruined_Saturday) Montpellier (Hatter in Macc) v St Etienne (Shropshire) Nice (eliminated) v Rennes (Market Harborough) Lille (eliminated) v Paris St. Germain (Big Fudge)
Good luck everyone. Despite us being down to the last 7, there are still two fixtures which could require another tie-break.
Le Sandre.

Well played, Macc. I thought Hyde might hang on until half time and the the flood gate would open. Bah
To be honest, I stayed a week longer than I expected. I came with nothing (except my dignity) and I leave with nothing.
Good luck to all those still in France.
Thanks, Sandy.
See you in Portugal for 'Lisbon-to a Winner' or 'The Braga-ing Rights'?

Through by the skin of 'mes dents', there! Hard luck, and well played, Eppers.
Bring on St-Etienne... They happen to be my fave French club, but, as Shrops is in charge there, all sentiment will have to be put to one side tomorrow!
