Having sold off most of my vinyl when the kids were young, I've started building the collection up over the last few years, some new, some from charity shops and some from car boots. As already said it's a ritual taking out the record, cleaning it, putting it on the turntable, reading the inserts, etc. Here's some pics of the late 70's B & O beocenter 2000 three in one with the B & O stand. Sadly the tape deck has stopped working - probably one of the drive belts has snapped. I had the stylus re-tipped by a Danish ex B&O engineer. Also got a spare 3 in 1 for spares. The unit was made in Japan, so the snobby B & O purists don't like them. The fact they do the job means nothing to them. I even went on their forum and got zero response when I posed a question. Says it all! The volume goes up to 10 and I've had it up to 4 when the neighbours were out. Eldest son has a 4 x 75 watt Marshall stack and amplifier with superb output, but the house shakes when you turn the volume up.

I came across this earlier, an obituary of one of the best bluesmen you've never heard of. He was a regular in pubs in and around Manchester. The last time I saw him was in a pub on Hillgate (can't remember which one - a sure sign of galloping middle age) that was holding what it hoped to be its inaugural, regular blues night. He signed a CD I bought which I still play regularly. www.theguardian.com/music/2023/apr/10/victor-brox-obituary

Another interesting addition: Limited edition gun-shaped picture disc, limited edition 'holster' sleeve plus the standard 7" single with picture sleeve, normally sold separately and all in mint condition. Bit of a coup this one!

I won't bore everyone with more photos, but my latest addition arrived today - 'Generic Engineering' 12" single by the geniuses known as Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark.
That's what it says on the label, and besides, I have never really liked that lazy 'OMD' title anyway!
It's in absolute mint condition and sounds like it was pressed only yesterday!
