according to an oxford fan on the NLF:
"From our presentation night, officials have said Hayes have put in an appeal A decision will be made Thursday, probably then league allocations will be published the decision would be preliminary and subject to agm cup !"

and here's an update, also from an NLF post: "Hayes & Yeading have put in their appeal which, I believe, is due to be heard on Thursday before the FA issue their provisional league allocations. www.getwestlondon.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/hayes--yeading-appeal-fa-7108705linkThe Conference rules on vacancies are as follows 13.6 In the event of a Club, not being placed in a relegation position at the end of the season, wishing to resign from the Competition at the end of the season, or having been removed from membership under the Articles the number of Clubs to be relegated shall be reduced accordingly. 13.7 In the event of a Club opting to be relegated or being removed from membership under the Articles such Club or Clubs will replace the Club or Clubs otherwise due for relegation in accordance with Regulation 5.4 in the Regulations for the Establishment and Operation of the National League System. and the FA Rules which they say they are subject to 5.4 i) Where a vacancy occurs in a particular division prior to the end of a playing season, the club creating the vacancy is taken to be the club in the bottom position in that division ii) Where a vacancy occurs at Steps 2 to 4 following the completion of a playing season the best ranked club in a relegated position across the particular step is reprieved. The ranking to be determined by average points gained per game played and comparable league position. The club with the highest ratio will be reprieved first. Conference Rules state that "The Competition" means the Football Conference comprising Conference Premier, Conference North and Conference South. In rule 13.6, therefore, Competition cannot be read as division. The question then arises as to whether the announcement of a vacancy arising next season means that a vacancy has occurred during the current playing season bringing FA rule 5.4 i) into play. I am not a lawyer but, in my opinion, based on the current wording of the rules, Hayes & Yeading have a cast iron case. Whether the FA will see it that way remains to be seen. It wouldn't surprise me if the old pals act comes into operation and results in the FA upholding the Conference decision to save Strudwick's reputation, and because Lowestoft would have to go North if Hayes & Yeading were given Oxford City's place in the Conference line up. Result awaited with interest."

Oxford for me is closer than Lowestoft, but I've been there, so a trip to East Anglia is quite appealing, but you know it will be a Tuesday night anyway!!!!!!

I'm Gutted Lowie is not in the North.
Would this appeal change that?

I think it would if Lowestoft was the furthest North team in the Conf South.

if hayes & yeading won their appeal, presumably oxford would be relegated and lowestoft might be moved north because they're more northerly than hayes who might then stay in the south.

Yep happy about that as its a total round trip of 1.8miles Although the club arent happy as they see the South division easier out of the two to get promotion out of. The travel will be an issue but not because its Lowestoft i think its because most of the players are based in Essex and London. They are a very good little club that are moving in the right direction with help from ex Norwich City player Craig Fleming. They play good football and have a few good players, one (Curtley Williams) of which has just been snapped up by Luton. Another player i like is Curtis Haynes-Brown a full back that i would not be sad to see in a county line up, he scored the third goal in play off final www.footballexclusives.co.uk/apps/videos/videos/show/18585234-lowestoft-town-3-0-afc-hornchurch-ryman-premier-league-play-off-final-highlightsHe has had a spell at League level but i think he is very good. Jake Reed is also anther player i am expecting to improve even more next season. Most fans will do a weekend away staying in Great Yarmouth but if anybody wants any info on where to stay or the Area then just ask. I am just praying this is a game played in the first eight weeks of the season
