Sounds like you might have the 1990 reissue of Pet Sounds with the bonus tracks. I go through phases of which tracks I particularly like but the main wonder about all of them is how Brian Wilson heard all of the sounds in his head and was able to reproduce them without any formal musical education. Every bit as much of a musical genius as anyone in the last 200 years. I didn't often buy the concert brochure but I've got 3 for the Beach Boys from November 1966, May 1967 and December 1968. Also got one for S & G in March 1967 and the Stones in October 1965. May be worth a few bob by now.

If we're talking Neil Young, it doesn't get any better than this from his fantastic MTV unplugged appearance:

now 'move on up's a f**king tune rog. yeah it will have been archie - i never had a vinyl copy. i'm sure you're right about the programmes, but i suspect they're more valuable to you. not an obsessive fan of the beach boys, but it's obvious that brian wilson could write classically brilliant stuff, and then chuck in 'good vibrations' for good measure. a proper genius.

Harry Nilsson - Everybody's Talkin'
The Kinks - Come Dancing .... "wtf?" I hear you say, but it is typically Ray Davies, superb storytelling.
Robert Cray Band - Phone Booth
Julian Lennon - Salt water
The Beatles - In my life
Had to put a space in salt water, because for some reason the profanity filter didn't like saltw**er!
Eh?

The Kinks - Come Dancing .... "wtf?" I hear you say, but it is typically Ray Davies, superb storytelling. i don't think you're hearing 'wtf' gazz. like you say, typically ray davies, and that's some distance from being a bad thing. can't believe none of us have mentioned 'waterloo sunset', but you could probably make a case for 'you really got me', 'lola', 'see my friends', 'deadend street', and several others. oh. and dave's 'death of a clown', which is fantastic. 'something in the air' is a great choice too lennie. what i like about these lists is the furious nodding and horrified shaking of the head they conjure up since it is so subjective. CF's sums it up brilliantly: 'virginia plain' (furious nodding) 'through the barricades' (the other) making love on wasteland? had you been out dogging in your cortina, hadley?!?

That's the great thing about music, there's no wrong answer to these lists because everyone musical tastes are different. Sometimes you don't even have to like the song to actually like the song!! It might be the worst song you've ever heard but it reminds you of special/good times so therefore you love that song!
I hate it when people say "I can't believe you like that, that songs rubbish"! No it's not, it's just not your taste pal that's all. I don't particularly like your techno techno boom boom whoop whoop music but you seem to like that so that's all that matters!

It might be the worst song you've ever heard but it reminds you of special/good times so therefore you love that song! that's one of the other things - the really strong sense of place some songs give you, whether it's a person, a location or a time period. i've got lots of songs that will forever take me to a sunny day in summer 1993, and 'space oddity' is my (other) grandad's kitchen in the mid-seventies.

I'm glad CF said that, as I was feeling a little uneasy about sharing my great musical passion with you all! I know Terrorvision are/were far from the greatest band musically, but I grew up listening to them and even now, live, they're just so much fun. I've met 3 of the 4 original members (just 'need' Shutty the drummer to complete the set but he's no longer in the band). I've collected all the albums over the years but also made a pretty decent go of collecting the singles which I haven't really ever done with any other band. I'm still missing quite a few, but thought I'd take a pic for you. Some of these are worth in the £15-£20 region now which, for a single, isn't too shabby I guess. Not that I'd sell!

Take That - Back for good Bobby Brown - Two can play that game
Both remind me of when my eldest was born. Take That was being constantly played by my brother in his car when he came down when mum went into labour, and the TV was on in the delivery room and there was an early hours of the morning music show on playing Bobby Brown.
I now absolutely love both tunes as a result.

Sandy don't worry what others will think of your musical taste.
As for Terrorvison I sure everyone at some point has ran to the bar, ordered a round of a particular shot and danced around like fools with a bunch of mates when they hear "Tequila" come on in a bar!!
