Thought I would pass on the latest email from the club, received yesterday. A lot of rumours on twitter about an 'exciting and positive' announcement about the club in the Express this week including Jon Keighton. However, Gavin Browne has stated that he hasn't seen anything so we will wait and see.......
Anyway, here is the email:
Keeping in touch
Good evening County fans. We thought we'd keep in touch and give you a brief update from Edgeley Park.
Help!
First off comes an appeal for help, so if you're not the 'getting involved' sort of person or you absolutely has to stay in tomorrow night to find out if they've caught the bloke who killed Tina on Corrie then you can stop reading this bit now.
Now then, for the rest of you, Help the Hatters are doing what they do at Edgeley Park every Tuesday at 6.30pm. And what they do is to spruce up the ground so it looks the business for the start of the season.
Twelve fans turned up last week, but we want treble that number tomorrow, and that means we need you. The reward for chipping in and helping is our undying love and respect mixed with simply knowing you have been part of making County look fantastic come July. See you tomorrow then.
New Players
So far we have the following players joining us for the 2014-15 season, with more to come. Things are beginning to take shape:
1. Tough midfielder to be announced tomorrow.
2. Powerful defender Glenn Belezika.
3. Rapid winger Nathan Woolfe.
4. 6'5" defender Daniel Gregson.
Season Ticket Sales
We've matched last year's sales so far - which is a testament to your faith that we're going places this season. Thank you. We'll be doing are very best to return your faith in us.
If you've not got your season ticket yet then prices are still low, but will be increasing them to £300 for adults very soon. If you're reading this email then that means you can buy yours online here, now.
Mike Flynn Benefit Match
A night NO County fan will want to miss. Alun Armstrong, Luis Cavaco and Chris Marsden are just three of the ex County legends (we think we can safely call them legends) to have confirmed they are playing against the current first team squad at Mike Flynn's benefit match on Friday 18th July. Buy your ticket online here.
Golfers - this one's for you
If you're a golfer then it's time to get your plus-fours and tartan socks on and enter County's 2014 Golf Challenge. There are lots of prizes up for grabs and it will be an excellent day as ever mixing golf, tall tales of holes-in-one that no one can verify, overuse of the word 'bandit', and all with a County theme. Life doesn't actually get any better. Read more here.
We hope you have a great summer. Speak soon.
Best wishes,
Everyone at Stockport County
