England are through the Semi-Finals after two convincing wins. A 3-0 win over Malta and a 4-1 come from behind win against Turkey today. The final group game against The Netherlands is pretty unimportant to us now. Come on Young Lions!

England sadly lost the final group game 2-0 to the Netherlands. They will face Portugal in one Semi-Final whilst in the other Semi-Final the Netherlands will play either Scotland, Germany or Switzerland depending on tonight's results.

Shame we can't face the Germans in the semi. I feel it's important to blood our youngsters as early as possible and introduce them to the disappointments of not reaching finals and going out to the Germans on penalties as soon as we can. Then by the time they get to the full England team we will know they're f**king hopeless, and not only will the media hype stop, the now traditional half arsed performances at major tournaments may also be less of a surprise! we might just reach the final now, it's not f***ing good enough!

Haha Gazza!
I actually enjoy these youth tournaments more than the senior ones because the players aren't yet corrupted by greed and diving

Haha Gazza! I actually enjoy these youth tournaments more than the senior ones because the players aren't yet corrupted by greed and diving I agree, it's just a shame that the money is corrupting them at a younger and younger age with every year that passes. If we're going to do a 'root and branch' of the game, how about limiting the amount these kids are getting paid, they earn far too much, and before long playing and scoring for England will mean as much to them as it did on FIFA a few years earlier!

I think there are some players who still have pride in playing for England. That realise they've been given an opportunity to play for their country an honour most would lose a limb for!
Bayern Munich have a good system that youth players can't earn over a certain amount until a certain age or a certain amount of years in the first team

England beat Portugal 2-0 in the Semi-Final last night setting up the final on Wednesday night against the Netherlands.
Regardless of the outcome a magnificent achievement so far by England. Hopefully (but doubtful) the senior team can take inspiration from the boys and from the Ladies who did magnificently to reach the Cyprus Cup final!

At this rate the bloody senior team might even learn how to beat the big boys. Not good at all for the greedy game, if Young English players can do the job then we won't need to swap the right to work in the UK papers of foreigners for 40 million a go!

Wonder what Greg Dyke will make of this if we win it?

Hopefully he'll realise that the hope for English football is in blooding players correctly and keeping them grounded not making B teams so a player can earn 250k a week to sit on the bench in League 2!

I like the look of that big English lad breaking from deep midfield Not sure of his name yet though.
Commentators obviously in a studio in London.
What a shame that none of these lads well appear in a first team next year.
Update:- He's called Joshua Onomah. - On Tottenham's books.
