I suspect because all the others were dubbed, so mine could have looked out of place. The English interview was bizarrely for Swiss French TV, although I could have done it in a French or Italian, the other two main languages in Switzerland.

but presumably a german speaking audience would have picked up on your accent, like we would an english speaking german. i suppose that's the continuity language of television, like you say.

Do you speak a few languages, Collinge? You've never mentioned it...

Talking of pubs, hard to pick my favourites of all time, but my list would definitely include these five:-
City Arms - Manchester Vine - Beside the City Arms (which was always handy!) Pineapple - Castle Street Plough - Heaton Moor Old Wellington - Manchester
If pushed for Bronze, Silver and Gold - probably the Pineapple, City Arms & the Welly

We used to go to the Plough in Heaton Moor every Saturday after over time back in the 80s, belting little pub that. A few pints and a pub lunch. They had the fantastic Castlemaine Xxxx on draught back in the day, when it was brewed in Australia, not the yak's pi** that some UK brewers ended up churning out.
We'd then pop a few doors down to the Crown, and sometimes go over to the Moor Top too for a swift one. Then we'd call it a day and I'd get dropped off either at home so I could sleep it off, or go and meet my girlfriend half cut!
Great days those, infinitely better than today.

White House. Fingerpost. Puss in Boots.
Back in the day (late 80's early 90's).

The Red Lion!
The Grove has changed so much over the years, I can't imagine it's anywhere near as good a night out as it used to be.
