Time to get the Match Threads show back on the road - eh, gang?
The friendlies start with a sneaky peak beyond the Welsh border on Bumpers Lane. And, by way of a heads-up to anyone making the trip, it will be a 1pm start there.
You remember what to do...

Let’s see what kind of line up and team(s) we put out. Hopefully we can get a good preseason in.

Weren't County the first team to visit Bumpers Lane? (AKA Sealand Road?) It was a League Cup game if I remember right and think Jim Carstairs scored with a tasty half-volley and we won 1-2.
I seem to recall them playing a God-Awful Country & Western style "anthem" called McNally's Bumpers (down on Bumpers Lane) -

Correct, AH. It was a rare cracker by Carstairs, who often flattered to deceive - and Chrissy Beaumont, having been the first-ever player to touch a ball at the ground on kicking off, bagged our other goal that evening.
Sealand Road was the name of Chester's former ground, which they had vacated two years earlier, at the top end of Bumpers Lane where a retail park now operates.

Friendlies are back again Already but the scoreline isn't that important. Cardio, fitness and team gelling takes priority but That said, County still win 0 - 3!
