I know I probably p**s people off with this, but he's a real favourite of mine, so deal with it! Do we have any up-to-date news on Macca's recovery?

What’s the news on Louis Barry everyone’s favourite. Is no news good news! I will be very surprised if we get him now, mate. We have brought in a lot of players, so I really can't see us breaking the bank for him now. On the other hand, if it was dead in the water then surely we'd have been told by now? The club would be gaining nothing by keeping it from us, especially with season ticket sales pretty much done and dusted.

I'm still hopingh he'll come in on a season long loan! He won't play for Villa this season so will be going somewhere either permanent or on loan.

I do think Villa will be looking to sell him, and he surely can't be too highly-priced after such a lengthy injury. I don't think many teams would risk spending the kind of money Villa would expect for him, though, at least not until he's got an injury-free season under his belt. This could work in our favour regarding another season-long loan. Assuming we're still looking to get him, of course.

Great striker - who stood out against us at Morecambe last year - and an excellent signing.

I've just seen this photo over on YB: I know it's out in the warmer weather in Spain, but as the post on YB points out - no knee support and doing ball work. This is looking very promising.

It doesn't look as though he's doing any intensive work, but that's massive progress.

I think we were a striker short so that’s good news. I think we now have four strikers: Woots, Stretton, Tanto and now Mellon

Looks like Louis Barry on his way out of Villa but not to County. Looks like Birmingham City have shown an interest as per BBC sport. Would be very disappointing news if he decides to go there of all clubs considering their recent troubles & now in the same division.

I don't know why he'd want to go to Brum, those clubs hate each other, just ask Duds. I'd like to think that he wants to continue the journey with us and, with DC hinting that it's still a possibility, he'll know that we want him back. He'll need thick skin if he goes there. Until there are reports that he's in dialogue with them, BBC can report what they like.

The two certainly do hate each other but interestingly a few players have made the move and become very popular with the bluenoses. Craig and Gary Gardner (who has just signed for Cambridge) were two and another was Liam Ridgewell.
LB started out at West Brom and then Villa via Barcelona. He seems to care more about playing attacking football than what people think of him. If he did go to Blues and play like he played for us they would love him, as do so many of our fans!

Obviously, it would be a great signing for your boys, Duds, and let's not muck about here, Brum are a Championship club in all but current League position, but I hope that the only blue he wants to wear is County blue! I'd be really disappointed if he went to another club in our division, though, no matter who it is.
