I was having a rant to my mate earlier that I've not heard one mention of St Georges day on the radio this morning. It really does my head in that we're not allowed to be proud to be English anymore!
Yet it seems the whole world celebrates St Patricks day for some reason?

Agreed, mate, I've got all the time in the world for other nations' national pride and fully embrace it, so why should we be made to feel like we should apologise for ours?

Perhaps it would be better if we had a Saint Arthur's Day (even if he wasn't a saint, or even real).
St Cuthbert's Day ? St Aiden's Day ? St Margaret Thatcher's Day ? (sorry I got carried way there) St Rishi Day ?
Any other suggestions ?
