Right, then - another long schlep in store next, to face hosts who are fighting against the drop.
This one, of course, is a midweek trip rescheduled from early March, and will be played on a pitch rather smaller than that we would have graced back then - following its re-sizing to get around the problem of its badly churned-up areas of mud around the edges.
A win will see us almost as good as up. Come on, County!
Post it all here...

Having done a post on Cole U for the original scheduled game, I'll limit myself to providing a bit of an update to that post.
So they currently stand 23rd W 9 D 11 L 20 F 51 A 70 - their Goals F is mid table at best but their Goals A is poor, tied with FGR they are exceeded only by Morecambe (73), Swindon (74), Sutton (76), Salford (78) and Notts County (79). County by contrast have conceded the fewest in L2 (41), two better than Mansfield (43), Wombles (44) and Barrow (45). County are also second top-scorers in L2 behind Notts County (83) and ahead of Mansfield (80), Wrexham (74), MKD (73) and Swindon (70).
Cole U's H record is poor W 5 D 6 L 8 F 29 A 34, which ranks 23rd in L2. Since I reviewed them for the original fixture (2nd March) they have W 1 (Newport h 2-1), D 3 (Walsall H, Mansfield A and Tranmere A - all 1-1) and L 2 (Barrow A 2-0, and Wrexham H 1-2). So their habit of being hard to beat under new gaffer Danny Cowley continues, including their tendency to D 1-1 (7 times out of 14). They have W just 2 in that time, though, beating Newport (see above) and Morecambe A 0-1, they have D 9 and L 3 Harrogate A 1-0, Barrow and Wrexham (both see above).
SO they won't make things easy, how about their goal threats? Well top scorer, with 11, remains Joe Taylor of Luton who came to Cole U on a season long loan, was recalled and then loaned out again in January to Lincoln City. Cameron McGeehan has 6, Arthur Read has 5, then Bradley Ihionven and Samson Tovide both on 4. January's big signing 6ft 3 Conor Wilkinson has appeared 6 times without scoring.
All in all not much different to when County were originally scheduled to play them but what is different is the way County feel right now. So where I was a bit edgy with my first review, right now this feels much more like a County win: which is always a worry if you've seen this movie before...
Anyway, what else is going on in L2 this Tuesday? Barrow (5th) v Bratfut 14th) Slumping Mansfield (4th) v FGR (24th) Morecambe (10th) v Slumping Crewe (6th) Wrexham (2nd) v Crawley (7th)
Fingers crossed those 3 points will be coming to EP at the end of the day, and if Barrow, Mansfield or Wrexham drop points then promotion is just that bit closer. Fingers crossed.

DC has said we will be making changes from Saturday, but I would imagine that anyone coming in would be looking to play themselves into a League 1 squad next year so hopefully we will have too much firepower for them. I will take a scrappy 89th minute winner off someone's bum though!

A draw would suffice for me; psychologically, a defeat could be a setback. It's all about our players holding their nerve over the final fixtures.
My dream: young Louie comes on and nets the winner!!

Okay, no problem; a winner from Sir Patrick will do nicely, thank you. Great result! 👏👏

He did come on, but a slightly more mature player got the winner! One more point, and what better way to win promotion than in front of a sell out Edgeley Park!
