Excellent team effort - at least, following the half-hour mark. And even before that, Hinchliffe had made an outstanding save to keep honours even.
In the outfield, Camps, CLE, Madden and, pleasingly, Touray particularly excelled. I think, on balance, the sponsors made the right call in selecting Camps - and he gets my vote as well. After a stuttering start to life as a Hatter, he is really showing us now what a cultured midfielder he is.

I can't see past Paddy, his work rate plus his goal and assists are surely enough to just about shade this one.
Paddy for me.

Ben for the saves he pulled off during the match.

Ooooh, a 3-way tie so far!
Great shout, though, Ceef. If it wasn't for Ben it could have been a very different result. The one in the first half after he'd flapped at the initial cross was the pick of them for me.
His kicking was a lot better yesterday too.

Paddy for me, he just seemed to be everywhere making timely tackles and penetrating passes.
Honourable mentions for just about everyone. Kane's touch was not always as good as it has been but no-one really played poorly.
I felt/feel a bit sorry for Woots at the moment. He's been ploughing that furrow up front for little or no reward lately, so he's due a goal or two.

Agree with you on Woots, AH, it's a thankless task and he just seems to spend the 90+ gruelling minutes grafting away for little or no reward.
It would be great to see him bag one as lord knows he deserves it, if only for the constant battering he's taking for the team.

Don't usuall vote on here, but having watched the match this time.......
GK Union - Ben H gets my vote. |We could have been 2/3 goals down early on. Keepers can't win you matches but they certainly can stop you from losing them.

To be honest, I would have been pleased about whichever player won it this time around. It may feel odd for the 'keeper to come out on top in the context of a 5-0 win, but, as others have said, Ben's brilliance in keeping out Wearne with his hands early on, and Tomlinson with his feet after we had gone ahead, helped prevent the contest from veering off in a wholly different direction. County's Number One for a reason. And what a club legend he is.
