That looks very impressive. Hope this comes to fruition and the fan base is expanded to fill this facility.

That looks very impressive. Hope this comes to fruition and the fan base is expanded to fill this facility. As long as they're not all Johnny-come-latelys, with zero emotional attachment other than 'if we win this week, I'll go next week'. Fans like Sandy and Sandy junior, who have stuck by the club through thin, thinner and anorexic need to be prioritised and rewarded for that loyalty. Attracting new fans will be great, but not when it's at the expense of those that stuck by the club when it was nothing like it is now - by that I mean pricing. Don't just go after the day trippers with pockets full of disposable cash, look after the regulars.

Agreed. Gaz.
The club has finally recovered from the days of 4-5K crowds (which did for us in the Championship years) and the "newbies" have built in number since the time in National North when the highlight of the year was a home game against Gainsborough Trinity or North Ferriby (not even the whole of f****** Ferriby !)
Season ticket loyalty scheme would be easily organised in this digital age. 15K+ crowds are a necessity to survive in the 2nd tier (if we get there). It looks like the access and dispersal of crowds is well written into the plans.
The increase in capacity will allow for larger away followings and an increase in subsequent gate receipts.

I think also having more covered seating is important. When the railway end is a covered stand it will develop a core of fans who will base themselves there. The Cheadle End is virtually sold out most games, who in all honesty would want to watch from the current railway end throughout most of the autumn and winter? If I recall correctly when we were in the championship last our crowds averaged around 7,500 to 8000. We already exceed that two tiers down so there is scope for a base of 12/13,000 which with increased away fans makes the capacity sensible. Mr Stott is not planning a 25/30,000 stadium which would be a white elephant.

Cheers, Duds.
I assume it's the RE, as that's the only stand without a roof so will be in more need of an upgrade.

Great news, showing some ambition off the field as well.

Great news, showing some ambition off the field as well. More ambition than this England team is showing on it. I couldn't care less if we get knocked out, I've had enough of watching this garbage. There's no way we're getting anywhere in this one with the negativity Southgate's displayed so far. Absolute crap.

Validation is the process undertaken by the Council to check that new planning applications are complete and include all relevant supporting information. Still progress though And Ingerlund were sh*te. To think Half the country rushed home from work to watch that dross….

Does the Council still own EP or has the club/Mark Stott bought it back?
