Sir Patrick Madden, for his leading role in a moment that could very well prove as pivotal as it was memorable.
So, he missed his penalty. But he was always our best threat up top this afternoon - and, more importantly, kept his chin up when things appeared not be going his or County's way. His strike for the goal was an absolute gem.

Paddys work rate was phenomenal so gets my vote. Cuedos to Nick Powell and Cass.

But he was always our best threat up top this afternoon - and, more importantly, kept his chin up when things appeared not be going his or County's way. His strike for the goal was an absolute gem. Top players always seem to find the time and space to make the frantic moments look slower than they are, and Paddy did exactly that with his brilliant volley. He has earned his place in the County hall of fame for me, not least for the goals that helped get us out of footballing purgatory, and we need to cherish moments like this while he's still in the County blue and white.
