A little while to wait for the event itself, of course, but just getting this started now in case there are any early pre-match hopes, fears, etc waiting to be posted...

I don't think I'll have time to do a who are Walsall this week (lots of other stuff going on), so I'll limit myself to an Elsewhere in L2 post instead:
10th placed Accy Stanley v 11th placed Gillingham 5th placed Crewe v 15th placed Swindon 20th placed Grimsby v 6th placed Notts (interesting to see how they play with a caretaker player/manager Jim O-Brien) 17th placed Morecambe v 2nd placed Mansfield Rock Bottom Sutton v 4th placed Barrow 3rd placed Wrexham v 7th placed AFC Wombles
So it's all a bit top v bottom except for Wrexham v Wombles. A return to Winning ways would do very nicely but even if that doesn't happen and County come off top spot I still reckon that as players return from injury we are good enough to be at least top 3 and probably no 1 by season's end. There I said it. Now fingers crossed it will happen...

So, a debut for E. Bristow.
Hope to see him darting up the wing to flight in the crosses with crafty play.

Well done Morecambe - great result
Well done Sutton - great result
No joy from Wimbledon !
Well done Grimsby - great result
Certainly get your money's worth watching Notts Co. 112 goals in 27 games, phew.

Paddy makes it three with a penalty, not a bad day - aside from Reynolds Town FC winning, of course.
Sutton have done us a favour today with a draw against Barrow, with the only gap I'm interested in being the one between us and 4th place, as I don't care about the title - promotion is genuinely all that matters to me.

Excellent result.
Agreed, gazz, automatic promotion is the priority. I'll be cheering on Mansfield and Hollywood FC against those in 4th - 7th.
Hopefully Barrow will fall away and the top 3 can pull away.

Definitely gazzman. I’m looking at fourth place as our measure. I’d like to be champions for the third time in so few years but I really just want promotion. Am I correct in thinking they said the ground development would happen when we gained promotion? I am amazed how many seats we manage to sell in the exposed Railway End, if it were an equivalent stand to the Cheadle end I think many more would be tempted.

I think so, mate, and it would definitely attract more fans, plus create a much better atmosphere with both ends being under a roof.

Another 3 valuable points. Superb from Akil and CLE. Decent run out for Bristow. Dour first half, but we livened up second half. Ref missed a back pass to their GK, and the first booking was a joke.
The Liner got accidentally clattered by Byrne. Good to Jordan Keane back at HT. I believe he coaches one of the academy teams.

Looking at the starting XI and subs bench before kick off I thought that this would be a difficult match, especially given Walsall’s recent form.
So, top work by everyone involved. Sounds like Connor Evans played well on his return. This is where having a squad player out on loan playing regularly helps the parent club.
Another three points nearer promotion…
