Not being too interested in what happens in the greedy premier league but hearing that giggs is being made interim manager (like its major news) led me to thinking about what are the minimum qualifications on the coaching side to be able or be allowed to carry out that role?
Is giggs at that coaching level?
Can't see him doing any better than moyes to be honest .

As far as I can tell, the ones with the money do what they want.

I remember a stink being kicked up over the lack of Pro-Licences of both Glenn Roeder (Newcastle) and Gareth Southgate (Middlesbrough) a few years ago, but as Eps said, the big boys seem to be able to do what the hell they like.
I have no idea regarding the level Giggs is currently at, so it would be interesting to know how qualified he actually is.

It's the UEFA Pro Licence that you need to be able to coach at top level football, or at least be in the process of taking the course.

As I was always led to believe, Conference and Below you don't need anything. Football League you need to be in the process of taking the FA Coaching Badges up to level 4 (I think!) and then you need a UEFA Pro Licence B or be in the process of getting it to coach in the top flight of any nation that is full-time.
I also think that to manage in international competitions both at club and international level you need to have or be in the process of getting, the UEFA Pro Licence A.

Thanks - i learn something every day.
I guess he is 'enrolled' on the course if be hasn't got it already. If neither the premier league need to drop a ton of bricks somewhere....especially as they kicked up a stink with Roeder..

Giggs has been on the coaching course, I heard someone say yesterday they watched him during the 'press awareness' sessions and he was a natural.... Why could I only think of superinjunctions?

Gigg's in charge of "Team Affairs" - mainly due to his past experiences.
