On we go, then - with the first part of a League One friendlies trilogy at EP.
Blackburn and Preston to follow anon - but, first up, the West Yorkshire 'Terriers' in a contest that has now reverted to the standard 90-minute format.
Post it all here...

Interesting game yesterday against a Championship team, with good support from their fans. This highlighted the huge gulf between their team and ours. We were done by their pace and often bullied off the ball. Our tackles were lightweight and I felt we needed to get stuck in more. Paddy was unlucky with 2 goals and I'm not so sure he was off side for the headed goal. Tanto was feeding on scraps second half. Trialist B number 24 showed some class in taking on players, but there was only going to be one result from this match ... a loss. I am unsure why Trialist A was playing if as rumoured he is just training with us. Their player Sorba Thomas is a good prospect.
I think we will struggle to score goals this coming season, so our defence will have to be watertight.

I'm going to mention him, because I feel it's warranted.
Simon Wilson must surely be under as much pressure as DC to make sure we go up this season, because if we fail and DC ends up being shown the door, then so should Wilson.
He's been given an easy ride so far and should not be allowed to hide if we fail this time around.

Trialist A was Nicky Featherstone, whom Dave Challinor will know well from Hartlepool. As you say, Ceefs, he is simply getting in some training/match practice with us (and actually helped us out, given that we have injuries in midfield and would otherwise have had to make someone play the full 90 minutes) - but no prospect, so far as I can imagine, of our taking him on more permanently.
Sorba Thomas was indeed impressive - and the only player from either side to remain on the pitch from beginning to end. Not so long ago, he was turning out against us for Boreham Wood!
