That referee was a complete shitbag, in no uncertain terms. There was only one team interested in playing football last night, but unfortunately we didn't demonstrate that intent until the second half.
The Salford player knew full well what he was doing with that challenge on Bristow, with echoes of Ramos v Salah in the CL final a few years back.
Bunch of dirty no-marks who will hopefully end up back where they came from.

Aye, so I reckon Croasdale must be close to returning and Akil Wright should also be getting close to a return, and if Rico Richards can play the Louie Barry role then we should be close to being back to our best. Ethan Bristow looked like he may have partially dislocated his shoulder? The Salford player was practically wrestling him to the ground. The Ref should have had a word with both Captains and said listen this is football not WWE, tell your players to cut that out or they are going off. Just my thought. Shocking ref - there was little protection for the players. Made me laugh when Smith tried the my shirts been pulled card. That was nothing to what the Salford players were dishing out to our players.

Just a couple of thoughts:
If you take out the first 6 games, when we W 1 D 2 L 3, that means over the next 36 games we W 23 D 9 L 4, which is quite some record.
The other thought, our XI for today's game v Morecambe looks about our strongest given who is available, but just off the top of my head we are still missing the following long term injury absences:
Will Collar Akil Wright MSH Ryan Rydel Jack Stretton
Most of that group of 5 would probably be in our first choice XI, maybe Stretton would be a fringe starter, but still we've got almost half of our first choice players missing, and they've been missing a good long while. Which makes the results to date all the more impressive.
Ibou Touray is also out but hopefully only a short term injury, if fit I think LB is a toss up between him and Rydel.
Curious that Rhys Bennett hasn't played much, and Cass and Kane also seem to have dropped back from the starting XI and Bench

Anyone know who is still under contract for next season?

I don't get it, Duds, has he been offered a contract? It'll piss me off royally if they don't extend his stay with us. Someone on YB literally saying that he hopes the club release him. When he needs the support of this club more than ever, what the f*** is wrong with some people? I really do struggle to fathom the mentality of some of our fans, I really do.

Anyone know who is still under contract for next season? I knew I'd seen a list somewhere... this from Football League World: I can't answer for it's accuracy though... I reckon St Paddy, Sarce and Ben have earned new contracts, less sure about Croasdale and Myle Hippolyte's on the pitch interview after the Accy Stanley game suggested that he thinks he may be on his way... CLE seems to have got into DC's good books this year so please let him have a new deal as well. Not sure about Jordan Smoth but his experience at Forest may come in handy, especially if Ben were to get hurt. I hope MSH gets a new contract, he deserves one, same with Rydel, footballleagueworld.co.uk/stockport-county-players-set-to-leave/

Just looking ahead following on from the list above, and assuming that all the loan players - Barry, Richards, Bennett, Cass, Knight and, perhaps, Bristow too, all go back to their parent clubs, who is likely to be not retained?
Well, Myles Hippolyte's post match interview can be read as suggesting that he thinks he may be on his way. Who else then? Maybe Neill Byrne, on the assumption that at 31 his best days may be behind him and that L1 is a step higher than he has previously played?
Bristow's loan came with the possibility of a permanent move but if Rydel returns to fitness and Touray continues to play well, and with Pye able to cover left back there may not be room for Bristow as well. (Not to mention Todd Kane signed a deal to the end of 2023/2024 and can also play LB, LWB, Left side of MF and RB....)
I'm assuming that Will Collar and Akil Wright will be retained and return at the start of next season...
I saw a post somewhere that said Wootton is going to sign for Millwall this summer... not sure how tongue in cheek that was....let's hope it was just click bait.
Meanwhile, digging around on T'Internet I find that Cody Johnson has made 5 apps (+2 as Sub) for Scarborough Athletic and Keane Barugh has made 18 (+5 as sub) and 2 goals for FCUM. Presumably they will both be returning for 2024/2025.
That would still leave County with a squad of 24, and, fingers crossed, another loan period for Louie Barry....
I'd still like at least one more CB and maybe a left-sided MF as well if only for cover.

Found this on twitter. Should we now be looking for top league one championship level players? How many here would keep?

The priorities have to be Macca, Connor & Sarce & also do all they can to get Louie back for another season - then they can take care of other matters.
I've already said it, but if the club don't stick by Macca, they're a bunch of ***** - insert your own expletive.
He'll come back stronger, I'm absolutely convinced of it, plus the lad genuinely loves the club and the fans.
He's been through an horrendous time as a result of giving his all for County, and now it's time for County to give their all for him when he needs them most.
They better not f*** this up.
