Next up, we stay in Cheshire for an away-trip - the shortest of the season for me from Macc Towers - and a chance to achieve a first 'double' this term.
Post it all here...

Kick-off will be at approximately 3pm, with both teams starting the game with 11 players. Our Maccy will produce a sterling match report win, lose or draw and AH will have provided us all with yet another top drawer analysis of the upcoming fixture. That's as far as I'm going to go with my prediction this week!

Elliott Nevitt has joined Crewe from Tranmere.
I expect this will be a 'harder' match than the match at our place.

Well now, we already know a fair bit about Crewe Alexandra, after all we whupped them 2-0 at our place, but what do we know about their home form and are they still the same side?
Well their H record is better than their A record, as you'd expect really: P 13 W 5 D 4 L 4 F 14 A 13. Pretty well mid table as you might say. The Ws were Harrogate T 3-0 (one of the few times Crewe have scored more than 1), Sutton Utd 1-0, Crawley T 1-0, Colchester 1-0, Tranmere 1-0. The Ds were Northampton T 2-2, Gillingham 1-1, Doncaster R 1-1, AFC Wimbledon 0-0. The Ls were v Stevenage 1-2, Mansfield T 1-2, Newport C 1-2, Carlisle 0-3.
So other than that 2-2 with the Cobblers their best League results are wins over lower -mid Table Sutton and Tranmere and, again see how rare it is for them to score more than 1 goal. Recent form is also a bit thin W 1 D 2 L 3 (including the loss at EP).
They have, however, added recently to their mix - 6-foot striker Elliott Nevitt signing from Tranmere (11 goals in 62 apps) on an 18 month deal. On loan from Brentford striker 2-goal Lachlan Brook (hometown: Gawler Australia) has extended his loan to all season.
Otherwise they remain short of goals, top scorer is 6-foot 2 Striker Courtney Baker-Richardson with 7 and then Dan Ageyi on 6 the only real goal threats although neither has scored since November.
All in all it looks like a straightforward win but as any fan knows, those are the ones spelt B A N A N A S K I N so I'll be keeping my fingers crossed on this one.

Do you reckon it will be on - what with the freezing temperatures and snow?

Brighton keeper James Beadle and Southampton midfielder Ryan Finnigan have both been loaned to Crewe for the rest of the season.

Not overly concerned regarding those two acquisitions, but this is County and I'm taking nothing for granted.
Hopefully the weather will start improving now, as there was some snow and ice coming in from work at half two this morning, but the sun is out here now and the ice looks to be disappearing.
It's warmer at 5 degrees here in Liverpool too, which is the temperature that is forecast for the rest of the day and evening, so it does look to be improving now.
Fingers crossed!
