Hopefully, another memorable Wednesday night under the lights against higher-division visitors in prospect!
Post it all here...

I've got to say I fancy County in this one. Not much has changed since the first game, the Addicks lost to an 84th minute winner at home to Cheltenham (they seem to have a real problem with late goals); their forward, Jayden Stockley, is serving a 3 match ban for violent conduct against Port Vale a few weeks back, presumably this game will be the 3rd of that ban; and Charlton's fan comments suggest that they are fed up with Ben Garner as Manager almost as much as they are fed up of their owner.
All in all, they look like a club in crisis and ripe for the picking. As with the first match though, I think the key will be which side defends better, and with County's back 5 starting to look more settled and secure, and the returns of MSH and Rydel, I think we can do this.
My only question marks are whether Johnson starts in place of Hussey and whether Sarcevic starts in place of Hippolite.
As noted elsewhere by Bring Back Len White, County potentially have a nice run of mid and lower table teams coming up: A v Rochdale (21st) 10th Dec (Presumably Quigley will not play for them); H v Gillingham (23rd) Sat 17th; H v Crewe (15th) Boxing Day; A v Walsall (10th) 29th; A v Grimsby (16th) New Years Day and then H (maybe) v Walsall in the FA Cup.
As ever, fingers crossed.

Ben Garner sacked this week.
What will that do to their team spirit ?

Not great timing really....
Anthony Heyes confirmed as caretaker manager.... see post below - reaction from their forum...
'Cheap as chips option.
Only just received his badges, done nothing in the game to date, wouldn’t be considered for another manager’s job in the league, so won’t answer Sandgaard & Son back ✅
In the space of two years we’ve gone from having a manager who was an England international and elite Premier league player, to a youth coach of a mid table 3rd tier club.
I wish Hayes all the best in his short stint in the role, but to hear him talking about CAFC being a “massive club” marks him down as another Sandgaard patsy'.

What did I say about a club in crisis? It's possible that they'll turn up with a dose of Alamo spirit but I reckon County are favourites in this one. ITV4 from 7.30 if you can't make it.

Interesting article off the BBC site and some sense of where do we go from here in the Tweet at the foot of the page. www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/63864853How many times have County fans been in that boat? Make hay when the sun shines and right now it's high summer for County.

"After the game the former Bristol Rovers boss told the South London Press that sacking managers would not solve the club's "cultural" problems."
There's that word again!

In position in my lounge, feeling better for having a bath (I volunteer on the Permanent Way Gang on a preserved railway - proper physical work so I'm knackered but determined).
Facing some adversity - I've got my Ice Cream but it's Neapolitan not my preferred Raspberry Ripple, nonetheless I am ready to give 110% for the full 90 minutes - shouldn't Extra Time tonight.
County to win - as long as we can defend well - this side is full of goals, but always a little antsy at the back.

Hope MSH is ok, that looked like a nasty collision with the hoarding.
Wright my man of the match so far, he's made some excellent interceptions.

I think Will Collar might just get man of the match. I don't know why, it's just a feeling!

Commentator just said Charlton have been second best at everything - yep I'd say so too.
Don't forget as well County denied a 1H Pen.

Brilliant win!
Congrats to DC, his staff and the players - superb performance!
Great gesture from Paddy too give Will the chance to get his hat-trick. Really hope MSH is ok, as he seemed to be affected by that collision with the hoarding.

How to make it look like we were the L1 side, that one. Aside from the dodgy start (all part of the plan to re-enact Bolton) it was pretty much one-way traffic.
Lovely to see Collar walk away with the match ball for a top performance. Crankshaw did well from the bench to keep up MSH's earlier work and Rydel was unfortunate to not get on the scoresheet after hitting the post twice with wonderful efforts.
Well played, County!
