And here was me thinking common sense has prevailed with the Dale being allowed to save on the floodlights leccy bill.

Turning this into the Match Thread ahead of Saturday, and in the hope that the frost covers at Spotland do their job!

Hmmm, so who are Rochdale?
Well their record, as you'd expect of the team 21st out of 24 is not good - P 20 W 4 D 3 L 13 F 14 A 29. The home record at the Crown Oil Arena (or Spotland if you prefer) is little better P 10 W 2 D 1 L7 F 8 A 15, which is 24th out of 24, and reminiscent of the kind of season County fans of a certain vintage endured in the past. Fun Fact: I used to travel up to Rochdale to watch the Brisca F1 Stock Car racing, although that was at Milnrow, home to Rochdale Hornets Rugby club. By heck that was bracing.
Top scorer is on-loan Scott Quigley, of this parish, and presumably not available for this game on 4; then it's Davante Rodney, who had a loan spell at EP, on 3; then Jimmy Ball also formerly of these parts (where he scored 14 in 74 apps) on 2, Ian Henderson and Tyrese (son of Chelsea's Frank) Sinclair both on 2 and finally former Reading and Feyenoord man Liam Kelly on 1 and that's yer lot. Oh and there's also Jimmy McNulty who played for County in the playoff win over (checks notes) Rochdale.
And if all those County connections make you think Rochdale is a home away from home, they have a vacancy for a scoreboard operator, who can think independently work under pressure and has a passion for football. Oh and you must be willing to work on matchdays.... which sort of goes without saying doesn't it?
It's always tempting to assume that this would be an easy win but I suspect that County's recent form may spur the Dale to raise their game and there's always the risk of "after the Lord Mayor's Show". So this could be a bit tricky, or sticky, depending on the state of the pitch. A bit of a banana skin I suspect.
Anyway, fingers crossed as ever.

This should give MSH more time to fully recover.

Wow. Interesting development.
At this stage I'm not too worried about Danny. If the periods renewed I will.
I believe he is on an initial 1 month loan.
Is he match fit and the weather might affect that loan period.
