Totally agree.. they have had 30 years to formulate plans for that piece of land and have done diddly squat.
As for the LD party are they not aware there are probably a lot more voters who would support SCFC's plans than not.....

I honestly don't know how the Lib-Dems are taken seriously anymore by voters, especially after lying to students and then rolling over to get their bellies tickled in exchange for a bit of faux 'power'. If we apply the butterfly effect, Nick Clegg is responsible for the mess we're in now, for refusing to talk to the incumbent PM and instead helping that oily tw## Cameron into number ten. He's now working for Facef**k, another beacon of political truth and integrity.

Yes, the LD's sold out on a generation of young adults with the tuition fees fiasco. I've never forgiven them. 1 of my children benefited from the 3K fees and the rest have been screwed. The interest rate has rocketed - talk about mis-selling. If it was a mortgage they would have got their money back. I sued to vote for the LD's but never again. The fact they seem to have conveniently forgotten about this is scandalous. And don't get me started on the leadership - a bunch of wet privileged lettuces.

They destroyed hope and trust for a generation of young electors. My vote has since switched first to green and now to the apathetic party. I am now eligible to vote in local elections here so I shall become engaged in the process once more (this time with proportional representation!) All Clegg had to do was abstain when the tuition vote came and then he could have saved some face, but no…

It goes further than that though doesn't it. My own son is now in the final year of his degree and has had to continue paying full fees for an education disrupted by the pandemic and now lecturers strikes and there is no comeback whatsoever. The only reason universities are allowed to get away with it is a complete lack of political will from a generation of self-serving politicians completely devoid of scruple who are told what to do, say and think by their party's management. And depressingly, that also includes the Labour Party under Starmer.
