Only just seen this after posting it on the bits and bobs thread! I'll delete mine.
Cheers for posting, Eps and a great idea to create a dedicated 'press' thread, mate!

Decent piece, but ... "After stepping foot in Edgeley Park, the North West-born businessman immediately set his sights on the second tier, and, in the midst of a global pandemic, it would be no easy feat.He laid out a plan to get the Club back into the Sky Bet Championship within seven years and two promotions in three seasons later, Stockport have taken a huge step forward."Rewriting history there, the first promotion was nothing to do with Mark Stott.

The number 1 press thing that pi**es me off is the blurb at the top of the MEN website page for County, which may have been relevant comment years ago before St James of Gannon got County back into the National League but the last sentence is now seriously out of date..... www.manchestereveningnews.co.uk/all-about/stockport-county-fcThe Hatters, formed as Heaton Norris Rovers in 1883, became known as Stockport County once the borough of Stockport was established. Dave Jones took them to promotion in 1997. They dropped into League Two before winning promotion under Jim Gannon in 2008. After financial problems County dropped out of the Football League in 2011 and the club is still struggling to steady itself. Talk about needing an update: now from national press I could maybe excuse that a bit but from the MEN it's pretty lousy to be frank.

Yeah, I clocked that. Lazy journalism

Now they’re probably miffed at having to treat us like a real team again.

Manc-biased emergency toilet paper, always has been.
The only MEN that I care about are the ones that got us back into the football League - legends every f***ing one of them.

Hmmmm, I'm not sure about those predictions - especially Swindon finishing so high, given that they have lost their Director of Football (and prime talent scout), the Manager, his Assistants and several loan players have gone back to their parent clubs....
and Northampton Town missing out altogether? (I'd say they might be worth a flutter if you fancy a non-County-specific wager).
No: I'm sticking with my predictions made elsewhere on my Who 'Dey? Thread.

Not sure why they think Salford are favourites. Have I missed some super signings by the Boys of Man Utd ?
Remember how low key are pre-season thoughts and aspiration were this time last year ? Probably even lower 8 games into the season as well. I wonder why that was ?
