Great to see county playing in a full house. The atmosphere sounded great. Going purely off the highlights and comments on here it does look like three crucial decisions went against us.
The foul on Quigley when he was one on one. That was a tackle from behind, looked a clear penalty and red card.
Issue Two.I have no problem with the Sarcevic red. Those tackles always look bad even if you win the ball it’s dangerous imho. However the referee has made that call. Issue three, however is the tackle on Minihan. That was very late and reckless, I don’t think the home crowd could have complained with a red card there and I can’t really see how the referee deems one worse that the other.
All of that said I wasn’t too comfortable with the reaction of some of our players (Hogan the captain) surrounding the ref and getting in his face. We have no divine right to win every game we play or to win this league. Yes, the signs look good and who wouldn’t have given to be in this position at the start of the season? But let’s have a bit of class about it lads.

I wouldn't appeal Sarcevic's red card (unintended but constitutes serious foul play, IMO) but, from his reaction once he's blown, it looked to me like the ref was influenced to a red-card decision by their players. It doesn't matter in terms of a potential appeal but highlights yet again that players pick up on the strength (or lack of) of the ref and when their approaches aren't clamped down on, it quickly descends into what was seen. Still, that's no excuse for the aggressive approach of our players, especially the extremely poor conduct of touching the ref.
A penalty and a yellow card could be given on the Quigley one, since the player can be adjudged to have made an attempt to play the ball. Quite what the ref can see though, I do not know and unfortunately linos in this league tend only to confirm the ref's decision/non-decision rather than make one themselves. Thinking back, I recall JG making a comment about that being kinda what they were told to do a few years ago.
Their player nailing Minihan - a crackers tackle which, again, can be adjudged to be serious foul play. Oh well, if we had controlled what we could control we would have been 11 men, so I guess that's the continued lesson.
