Well down to the Caretaker. Tinkerman strikes again.

Cheers, fellas, it was a simple fix. It's nice to be appreciated, though!

Shaping up nicely, County have 4 remaining fixtures in Mar Notts County H, Wealdstone H, Kings Lynn A and Eastleigh A. Of those Notts looks maybe tricky but still winnable, and I'm always wary of teams at the bottom but still 10 points from those 4 is at least possible. That would put County on 77 points with 9 to play, leaving a bit of elbow room for any upsets on that final run in. Fingers crossed.

Crunch Time for Chesterfield, Wrexham, Halifax and Boreham Wood in the remainder of Mar.
Chesterfield have A Boreham Wood Sat 12th; H Maidenhead Sat 19th; A Alty Tue 22nd; and A Notts County Sat 26th
Wrexham have H Boreham Wood Tue 8th; A Bromley Sat 19th; H Halifax Tue 22nd; and H Dover Sat 26th
Halifax have H Dover Sat 12th; H Bromley Tue 15th; H Torquay Sat 19th; A Wrexham Tue 22nd; and A Kings Lynn 26th
Boreham Wood have 5 games in a fortnight - Wrexham A Tue 8th; H Chesterfield Sat 12th; A Barnet Tue 15th; H Grimsby Sat 19th; A Notts County Tue 22nd. I don't know how deep their squad is but I saw an article the other day saying that they have the oldest squad in the National League. I don't wish any harm on them but I think their season is about to get real in a bad way.
More generally I think we are about to see a big sort out of the top 5 and I fancy County's chances best.

More generally I think we are about to see a big sort out of the top 5 and I fancy County's chances best. As DC is always at pains to stress, we just have to concentrate on what we can control and win our own games. I have a very strong feeling that this is our time and that a good few results are going to go our way this month, and I'm also confident that those final few 'big' games of ours won't matter, as we'll have got over the line by then. It's been a while since I've felt this confident about County at this stage in a season, but it's not a big b*ll*cks confidence, it's one that's being justified by an incredible run of results, overseen by an incredibly focussed and highly talented manager. Besides which, after the sh*t we've been through, not least since Jim was binned off for a guy whose name makes me shudder, I think we've earned the right to have a bit of f***ing belief in ourselves. COME ON, COUNTY!

This is beginning to have a feeling that we (well some of us) experienced in the 1966-67 season.
March does see the chasers all nibbling at each other and we must capitalise on that. All about momentum and confidence.

Just as an FYI I've updated the scores for all of the games up to and including Tue 22nd Mar.
Once This Sat 26th Mar is out of the way I'll do a similar summary of games for Apr and May.

Nice work, AH. These are a really useful addition to the forum. Along with H's superb analyses, these have made for some excellent reading. Keep up the great work, both.
