The new series of Car S.O.S!
Great programme and it's always good to see the fully restored cars being handed back to their owners!
An interesting fact (to me, anyway) that I discovered tonight, is that Ric Wood, the Capri specialist that's featured previously in the show and also featured in tonight's episode helping the guys restore a 6R4 (Google it!), is based in Davenport, just around the corner from the Mayflower Chinese take away!
If you love seeing cars being rescued, often from the brink of being scrapped, then I highly recommend this show!

There's usually the ood cool looking car outside... and currently a Capri that's been out front when I've walked past this week.

You've got to check the show out if you like watching restorations, mate, even if your not into cars - it really is an excellent watch.

I've not been to the Mayflower for a while now, but when I lived in Stockport it was the best take away Chinese I've ever had.

The last time I was round at his we had a takeaway from there - from recollection (I was a few beers in) it was pretty good!

Car SOS - found it by chance about 12 months ago.
A good watch with an excellent blend of comedy and serious stuff (unlike Top Gear which is just 3 guys titting about).
There are some seriously clever folk out there restoring wheels, engines, body work and seats. Always a sob story to tell but that is part of the charm. Fuzz Townsend was a drummer with Nine Inch Nails.

So he was Gazza. I thought I had read 9 Inch Nails somewhere !
I stand correct, my Lud.
Edit:- He and the band once toured North America with them. Does that count ?

Discovering the album 'Bang' by World Party today. A quality listen that I would never have stumbled upon had H not posted 'Is it like today?' on the music association thread earlier. Funny thing is, I was actually going to post that myself last night while having a drink, but Sandy sent me that Beach Boys YouTube video and I completely lost it after that! Cheers for posting it, H!

The age thing is some heavy arsed baggage that I can do without, but being able to say that I grew up in the 80s is bleedin' priceless. It was the best decade of music ever, bar none!
I'd go back to that time in a f***ing heartbeat!

A 'did you know?' thing here - Karl plays a right-handed guitar even though he plays left-handed... and the strings are in the right-handers stringing so he plays 'upside down'!

Imagine the smug smile on those of us who live in a country where barbers were allowed to open last Monday and took advantage of that relaxation on Tuesday.
