I don't think SW will go. I think MS has probably told him he's wasted a load of money and SW is probably 'on report' for the rest of the season. Recruitment, staffing structures etc etc I do think SW has played his own little game of FM though, with football strategy is my responsibility comment in his interview.
DC will now lead the recruitment I think and possibly ask for the staffing changes which I doubt he'll get though cos SW will want to save face.
The biggest staffing issue was the GK coach change. Once Karlos left Ben's form dipped, most notably his kicking

A long Twitter thread from Sam Byrne covering DC's comments tonight:
Thanks to Sam for doing that.

Very articulate, intelligent, experienced football man. Getting Chally in is the equivalent of getting Mark Stott in as owner ... yes its potentially that good!

He's certainly making all the right noises, mate. It was good to read that he's going to be setting the style of play, and not some gobshite with a laptop.

Hopefully the last ten months has been a chastening experience for SW and, inasmuch as we need a DoF, he will now be dealing with drawing up contracts and other admin duties and stay well away from the first team, signings, departures, tactics, formations, team selection and pretty much everything to do with the players and management.
Hopefully MS has also learnt the lesson! He’s had to spend a heck of a lot money because of the decision to sack JG. Maybe he won’t be so quick to give SW his cheque book from now on.

I've been reflecting on the events of the last few weeks and still have mixed emotions. SW has dramatically changed the feel of the club and he is still in post and will never change.
It was obvious that Jim would never tolerate a Head of, especially one that interferes, which SW does. Once Jim was crassly removed, SW appointed Rusk and must have realized pretty quickly that he'd made a mistake. His inexperience quickly showed and not even an vastly experienced assistant could help.
Because of Rusk's lack of ability, SW clearly felt he had to fill in the gaps - this led to him interfering with first team affairs - actually making things worse for Rusk. It damaged his reputation and on a daily basis confirmed in fans' minds that he wasn't up for the job.
Rusk is a grown up who needs to take accountability for his decisions. You could say there is some poetic justice in him getting the sack after he was complicit in Jim's sacking.
And so to DC. He's obviously a far more competent and experienced manager - both in terms of managing the team and in communicating with fans. The hope has to be that this means SW disappears into the background and let DC get on with it. SW can certainly trust DC to get on with it way more than he could trust Rusk, but it remains to be seen if he does.
I'm still not happy with how Stott and Wilson are running my beloved club and our reputation as a Salford/C*ty-light endures; it will never ever sit well with me.
It's not ideal, but if SW stays out of the way and stops buying players every other day, then maybe, just maybe DC can restore some of our reputation.
It's still a very long way from Jim Gannon's blue and white army, though.

Once Karlos left Ben's form dipped, most notably his kicking I always thought that a combo of Ormson and Hinchliffe rolled into one would have been best. Ormsons precision kicking and penalty saving along with Ben's shot stopping.
Think it is time to rotate Ross and Ben - competition is always healthy and normally brings out the best in players.
