That's excellent, Ceef. It's great to read that Simon rates Jim and recognises his importance to the club's future.
Cheers for posting.

Whilst I've little time for Redknapp a managerial dinosaur in the Allardyce mould imo, it wasn't data that lost at home Weymouth it was the players who seemed to switch off in the second half nor was it data that put up such a shabby performance at Hartlepool so I can sympathise to a degree with his sentiment about computers playing each other.
I don't know about anyone else but I've detected a certain defensiveness about some of JG's recent interviews. He recently made reference to the players ignoring "good coaching" which is an expression I've not heard him use before. I'm hoping that it's nothing more than a period of settling new processes in and the adjustment required by everyone to the wider range of methods being used and the type of personalities recruited to the playing staff but I get the impression that there may be a bit of tension about the club which I've not noticed since McKnight departed, better to fulfil the role of football guru and demi-god he thought himself to be.

I don't think there's anything sinister behind those comments, mate, at least I hope not.

Redknapp - a financial Typhoid Mary wherever he went. Agreed. How many clubs did he help compromise financially, Bournemouth and Portsmouth to name just two of them, wasn't it?
