Here we go again with the "go again". The guy is a walking cliché. 100%. Seriously though, I hope he does look at controlling our discipline. It makes no sense to have every interview out of the club say 'positive' in it a dozen times and then the 'product' we pay to watch is negative yapping at the ref and disrespect. Agreed, H. This new 'culture' seems to be one of poor results and lack of direction.

Did he really say “it is what it is”?
He missed “jumpers for goalposts, isn’t it, marvellous”
I’m sure there is a drinking game here...the Simon Rusk cliche game.

Too many stupid fouls and mouthing off doesn't help either. I think the only way is to hit the players in the pocket.
Where are we now in the Fair play table?

We have dropped to eighth, with 40 points of the disciplinary kind, Ceefs.
Still not that far away from the leaders, Sutton, who have 32 - and a long way clear of the basement position, where Yeovil have amassed a staggering 79!

I'd like to know where Eastleigh sit in that table, especially after that assault on MSH yesterday.

Nineteenth (49 points) - but should clearly be lower!

‘It is what it is’
I wouldn’t be too sure that Rusk is going to enjoy having fans back in the ground.....

"It is what it is" is often used by one of the top bosses where I work, when he has talked himself into a corner and can't find his way out. I can't listen to him anymore and we're not even a month in, I really hope he's got more than that when he's in the dugout..

Someone posted this beauty over on YB last night:

I had to listen, through morbid curiosity, if nothing else.
Did he really just use our previous two defeats under Jim against Notts County to justify that draw last night? What the f***?
Never mind "it is what it is", Rusk, plain desperation is what 'IT' is. How the f*** can anyone defend this guy, he's totally out of his depth and constantly grasping at straws.
How much more time are we supposed to give him? Three games from now we could be f***ing mid-table, this is getting serious now.

Good that SR mentioned the ambition JJ showed with getting in behind as that's exactly what was needed against a defensive side which we were playing our game in front of. Being able to win in different ways was also mentioned, and for any ideals of playing (which I'm not saying should not be built upon), you do become easy to play if you're one-dimensional.

JK once again needing a copy of the match DVD leaving on his desk. Dalby was mostly anonymous again, yet he singles him out for praise - astonishing.
It's almost as if he's been told to single out a Rusk signing, in the same way sponsors were allegedly told by Jim who to pick for their MotM.
I'm going to swerve these interviews from now on, not so much because of Rusk, but more because of JK's blatant buttering up.
As for the manager, I'm still not inspired by his interviews, but I think it's only fair that I let the team do the talking for him. Yesterday was a big win, but the performance still wasn't great.
