It was Louis Saha for Everton against Chelsea in 2009, though unfortunately for the Toffees that's as good as it would get as Chelsea turned it around to win 2-1 and lift the trophy.
2. Who were the last team from outside the Top Flight to win the FA Cup and in what year?
Then Second Division side, West Ham United, beat Arsenal 1-0 in 1980.
3. Who were the Non-League team to win the FA Cup? (To be clear, I mean they were Non-League when they won it, not that they are neccessarily Non-League now).
In 1901, Tottenham Hotspur, then of the Southern League beat Sheffield United 1-0 to become the only Non-League team to ever lift the trophy since the advent of the Football League. Interestingly it was also the first FA Cup Final to be filmed by Pathé News.
4. Which current Premier League side holds the record with number of Finals without a win?
Leicester City have been to Final 4 times in '49, '61, '63 and '69 but never maanged to lift the trophy.
5. Which stadium was the last to host a final (in 1970) that wasn't at Wembley OR the Millenium Stadium?
After a 2-2 draw at Wembley, the replay saw Chelsea beat (Dirty) Leeds United 2-1 at Old Trafford.
6. Who was the last English Manager to win the FA Cup?
Harry Redknapp in 2008 with Portsmouth.
7. Which player has scored in the most different FA Cup Finals?
Didier Drogba who scored in 4 different FA Cup Finals for Chelsea, helping them win the cup in '07, '09, '10 and '12.
8. Which 2 teams have been runners-up the most, both finishing 2nd on 8 occassions?
Everton and Manchester United have both been Runners-Up 8 times.
9. Who is the Youngest ever player to score in a final at 18 years and 19 days old?
Manchester United's Norman Whiteside scored against Brighton and Hove Albion in the 1983 Final replay as United went on to win 4-0 after drawing the first game 2-2.
10. Which years FA Cup was the first one to ever be decided by a Penalty Shoot-Out?
In 2005 Arsenal became the first team to win the FA Cup on penalties following a 0-0 draw with Manchester United.
11. What is the record winning margin for an FA Cup final and can you name either of the 2 teams who won by that score?
The record winning margin in a final is 6-0, the scoreline was acheived by Bury in 1903 who beat Derby County 6-0 and Manchester City in 2019 who beat Watford 6-0.
12. What was unique about a match between Sheffield FC and Shropshire Wanderers in 1873?
It is the only match in the history of the FA Cup to be decided by a coin-toss which Sheffield won!
13. Why did Birmingham City not compete in the 1921-22 FA Cup?
Their club secretary at the time forgot to submit the registration form!
14. Who were the first 'Working Class' team to win the FA Cup? (Not affiliated to any sort of Private School).
Blackburn Olympic lifted the trophy in 1883 and from that point on, the FA Cup would never be won by a Private School team again.
15. Who are the only two sides from outside of England to play in an FA Cup final?
Scottish club Queens Park reached the Final in 1884 and 1885 losing to Blackburn Rovers on both occassions and Welsh club Cardiff City reached the Final in 1925, 1927 and 2008 losing to Sheffield United in 1925, beating Arsenal in 1927 and losing to Portsmouth in 2008.
16. Who are the only side to win the FA Cup and be relegated in the same season?
Wigan Athletic in 2013 who beat Manchester City 1-0 in the final but only 3 days later would have relegation to the Championship confirmed after a 4-1 at Arsenal.
17. In 1971/72 which 2 teams played in what would become the longest match of all-time?
Oxford City and Alvechurch played an incredible 6 games with 4 of them going to extra time, the first game was a 2-2 at Alvechurch's Lye Meadow, then a 1-1 draw at Oxford's White House, followed by a 2-2 draw at St. Andrews in Birmingham, then two 0-0 draws at the Manor Ground in Oxford followed by Alvechurch finally triumphed 1-0 at Villa Park. Once the tie was finally settled, they had played an incredible 660 minutes (11 hours) of football!
18. In which stadium was the first ever FA Cup final played?
The Kennington Oval saw Wanderers defeat Royal Engineers 1-0, the Oval is still in operation today and is home to Surrey County Cricket Club and occassional home to England Cricket.
19. Who was the first ever player to score an FA Cup final hat-trick at Wembley Stadium?
Stan Mortensen scored a hat-trick in the 1953 Final to help Blackpool overturn a 2-0 and a 3-1 defecit to defeat Bolton Wanderers 4-3. Mortensen may have felt a little hard done by that the final would become known as 'The Matthews Final'!
20. Which team has won the FA Cup a record 13 times?
Arsenal won the trophy in 1930, 1936, 1950, 1971, 1979, 1993, 1998, 2002, 2003, 2005, 2014, 2015 and 2017.
So this week, Gazza managed to get 3 of them right and Maccy managed to get an incredible 19 out of 20.
