Play today in the final of the Cyprus Cup, apparently a pretty prestigious cup in Women's football, we won it last year beating Canada in the final, we've got France this year!
Good luck ladies, let's make sure England lift one cup this year!

I don't think so pal, may be able to find a stream online, maybe the FA will stream it on their official site

It bloody should be though, mate, those Women are representing our country every bit as much as that overpaid Premier League boys' club.

Thing is....I women's football were to be given a more equal showing by the FA or whoever can you imagine the impact on men's football? One of a few things would happen.... 1, the women would demand wages of more equal parity to men relative to the level played at. 2, Men would have to take a big pay but or lose out altogether as the women's game became more accessible people would eventually consider not paying the high prices for tickets especially in the top two tiers of professional football. Also the men's team would be constantly compared to the women's game at all levels and this in turn would also begin to strip away a large percentage of match day revenue as people would look at prices and for example say for the price of a ticket at Chelsea they could take a family of four to a women's game instead and the kids would love it just as much.
3 as a result of the lost revenue wages would have to be slashed for clubs to survive. Clubs wont do this because its the high wages that attract the big players from worldwide - lets face it some foreign international who signs for any of the top 20 clubs here isn't doing it because he loved that particular club from childhood or has some affinity with it - its the money they pay. Why not grab the big wages - its there for the taking and the players do domestic players and imports. You can bet they don't have to shop at aldi.
4, if the womens England team ever won the world cup can you imagine the slating our current and recent past England players and setups will get? It was make turnipgate look like a sunday morning league touchline row.
I say the womens game is becoming far more professional but will always be kept down by the FA because they know the financial damage it will do to the mens game and they don't want to rock the gravy boat.
