Delighted with this - knew he wasn’t just training with us for fitness!
Welcome back Stotty. Not only should this help with continuity with the existing squad members, he’s a very promising young defender who really seems to ‘get’ County and the fans.
Really looking forward to seeing him push Palmer and Hogan for a place in the starting XI. Hopefully a player that can grow with us too...

In the vid of the Nuneaton match, after Warby got the second and it was as good as won you'll see him pointing up to the stand behind the goal. He was pointing to Stott who was stood on a crush barrier celebrating like a good 'un. He signed my programme and was quite happy to chat for a few minutes, a very decent lad.

Interesting to see JG eluded to younger professionals coming in to compliment the squad. Does that mean no more big / experienced players will be coming in?

I do hope we still keep that element of Jim's philosophy within the framework of the club, because although we may have money to spend now, I'd still like to see the club grow organically in the long term, as we can't rely on Mark Stott being around forever.

That's fantastic news, made even better by new contracts for Jim's trusted staff too!
Cheers for posting, H.

If only Ryan McKnight was still with us. Imagine the dreams we could have with him directing the club in this environment. Ok, sorry, I'll get my coat

Most important signing of the summer!
Looks like we are building a formidable team off the pitch too. With the new training facilities we really mean business - proper foundations being laid for long term progress. Happy days... now if only Covid could pack up and f*** off...

Haha, hopefully he'll have cause to celebrate goals in front of the County fans for all the right reasons. He certainly knew how to do it as a Fylde player.

By all accounts he sounds like a good signing.
Let’s hope that’s more of an “I mean business” pose rather than a “Has someone stepped in dog s***?!” kind of a pose!
Hopefully another cog in a formidable team for next season!

Anyone know anything about the young trialist we had in goal for the second half vs Fleetwood?

Think it was Josh Barnes, most recently of Derby. He played on loan between the sticks at Farsley Celtic last term.
