Hello all, I heard about this forum while I was at the recording of The Scarf Bergara Wore recently and thought I'd show my face. I went to my first game around Christmas 1966 and was instantly hooked. Never had my head turned by the football corporations down the road although sometimes I've been too busy working or my faith has been too tested to attend matches. Now that I'm retired I'm a season ticket holder in UT5 of the Cheadle End along with my other half and, when they aren't playing football themselves, with the two great-grandsons. I'm pro-Gannon, I try not to be a bedwetter although I do post on Yellowboard occasionally. Other interests: motorcycles, railways, model railways, music (both kinds, rock and folk), morris dancing.

As you may have noticed, my 'h' key has a crumb stuck under it and my proof-reading is rubbish.

Welcome to heaven jkb. Typos and the like are very welcome here. We tend to be quite relaxed round here! All views are accepted, unless you think McKnight is a genius...

welcome jkb. only the most misanthropic are unwelcome here, and it's always good to gain someone who obviously has a massive amount of history with and knowledge about the club. hope it suits you.

JKB - 1966 was a great time to be a County fan. Friday nights under floodlights and winning teams of the likes of Len White, Eddie Stuart, Matt Woods, Ken Mulhearn, Alan Ogley,Billy Haydock, Jonny Price, Len Allchurch, Jim Fryatt, Bill Atkins, and Tommy Henderson (sadly not all at the same time).
Real crowds of 12K plus as well.

All a shade past their very best, Gazza, but had a role to play in Division 4 and then 3.
