Long time football fan... but obviously not at county! I like the fact that he has started by saying we will be run sustainably. I obviously also like the fact that Jim is staying on. Does any one know how large our debts that we are now free of were?

No mention of Steve Bellis? I think he is vital to the club, as he has previous successes in building links with the local community, so I really hope he's being kept on.

My ‘not at county’ statement was meant as an observation rather than a criticism. Having someone look at the club from top to bottom without blue tinted glasses could be a very useful starting point.

He and George Hudson offer so much. Hopefully they will continue to contribute in an advisory role. Hopefully also new plans for the catering.

Why is this place so bloody quiet?
Jesus!
I've never been one for getting overly confident where County have been concerned in recent years but, having watched that interview, I got a really good feeling that this club might just be about to enter the final leg of its journey towards regaining its Football League status!
The plans Mark Stott talks about sound like the stuff of dreams. Not the pipe dreams of others that we've seen come and go at County (Melrose, Evans, McKnight et al), but real dreams and aspirations coupled with a genuine desire and the ability to achieve them.
I'm not going to get too carried away, because as Mark says himself, there have been a few false dawns here, but I feel a genuine excitement about the long-term future of Stockport County Football Club that hasn't been there for a long bloody time!
Welcome to County, Mark!

Welcome to County, Mark! Listened to the interview and sounds like he had a great vision for County on and off the field and people in his business who can sort out the off field issues. His trust on Jim.is also refreshing. Exciting times ahead.

Amazing interview - if he achieves half of what he is aiming for he will be a legend in 7 years. And we will be debt free Let’s just hope the National League don’t refuse him ownership status. In Mark and Jim we trust!
