Very dull game tonight, nonetheless, I'd like to see Hodgson use the game to play a few young players and basically trialists for the World Cup.
3-1 England.

Friendlies bore me, simply because too many 'established' players drop out because they know they've got a seat on the plane. As Cloughie said to his Forest team a week or so before one of their amazing European Cup Final triumphs, telling them to keep working hard and earning your place, because "The only person guaranteed a seat on that team bus is the f**king driver!"
Too many shoe-ins in this England team, that's the main problem. "Pulled out due to injury"......s*d OFF!

If I was an international manager of any nation from Spain to San Marino, if a player pulls out of a friendly for no reason then they won't play for me again, if a player is injured it should be up to England's physios to decide that, not the clubs or the player

The only benefit from this game (apart from the FA getting some cash to pay off the ridiculous debt on Wembley) is to see hoe Luke Shaw does. Even then, I'd take him ahead of Cashley Cole. It's a good chance to give a young player tournament experience ahead of the Euros in 2 years time. Cole won't be on the scene then, so may as well plan for the future. It won't make any difference to our chances of winning the World Cup, either!

I'd take Shaw and Baines over Cole as well!

Pretty boring first half, England have had much the better chances with Rooney and Sturridge linking up pretty well, still I hope we make changes in the 2nd!

Sterling hits the post very unlucky! He definitely looks like he's got a future for England!

If Cahill and Smalling are the answer, it was a very silly question in the first place.
