Just heard this on the lunchtime BBC NorthWest bulletin. Sad news for a club that appears to be all about serving it's community. There for the Grace of God ?

I guess they exhausted all other options.
Sad news, indeed.

Very sad news, a small community club has to resign in the same week as a team with an inferiority complex from Manchester spent hundreds of millions on the league cup

Very sad news, a small community club has to resign in the same week as a team with an inferiority complex from Manchester spent hundreds of millions on the league cup ^^ this. It's a disgrace that even Motors have wealthy-ish neighbours across the water who could arrange a friendly to help them raise the cash, and the same goes for us. The Premier League makes me sick. As I said, I wish Motors all the best.

Yes very sad day for the motors. Desperate times. Again the premier league are killing the grass roots of football. More needs to be done for these clubs going out of business often for less than 1 weeks wages of a PL players wages.
Wish them well.

What a real shame - no club should have to go through this, will they go into the northern prem or will they be forced to drop lower?

I would imagine they'd go to the lowest level if the Evo Stik which is Division 1 North

Embarrassed to say I drive a Meriva !!! It's going back tomorrow. bloody hell lennie. i would imagine that returning it is quite coincidental to the plight of vauxhall motors... one of theirs posted on the non-league forum about how much of a punch in the guts the news felt. poxy works side, crappy little ground; no matter: we're all in this together.

Sadly Mrs Len needs it to visit the Belfry today (that's where The Old Bat - Mother-in-Law- lives). The Meriva survive another day.
