...... jesus wept, we'll be advertising in the Newsagent windows next, not to mention on Roscoe's roundabout next to "Albert's 50th Birthday!": www.stockportcounty.com/news/article/chairman-advert-1394615.aspxThe Candidate:
• Strong track record of successful strategic leadership and working constructively within a diverse organisation whether in sport, business, public sector or politics;
• Empathy with the mission and values of the football club and the hopes and expectations of our supporters;
• Experienced networker with first class communication, influencing and advocacy skills;
• Ability to bring sound judgement and commercially astute approach to bear on a football club with huge potential.
• A successful track record in business would be welcomed, particularly with regards to increasing commercial revenue and stakeholder engagement
So basically, pretty much the opposite to Ryan McKnight....

How is this not essential? And they forgot to add: - Able to manage the performance of a clueless Chief Executive
- Strong track record in crisis management and unpicking brainless decisions by the Chief Executive
- Expert in managing the press everytime the Chief Executive cocks up
Oh, and they also forgot to add: Prepared to work for free as the Chief Executive has cocked up the finances.

The supporters hope is that the Chief Executive gets sacked and our expectation is that it's the first thing the new chairman does.

One of the Leamington FC directors was manning a turnstile. Respect earned and deserved.....
The stewards did a great job and they ended the segregation at half time. Seems a very well run club to me.

They forgot to mention he/she should be at the very least a millionaire and respect the fans.

Looking for a new Chair!
Why not just nip down to Ikea or somewhere like that and pick one up, why the need to advertise?
It's actions like this that makes our Club look silly.

Extract from the spec.: "County regularly attracts (attendances) of around 3,000 supporters."
That's pushing it a bit, so far as this season is concerned. Boston match apart, the only time that the headcount has really come anywhere close was when we hosted Leamington, having run into a bit of form after Bogie left.
I am not counting the so-called 3,000-crowd at the Stalybridge match - which, for those of us who were there, clearly looked anything but...!

i'm glad it wasn't just me registering my surprise at the staly vegas crowd. the idea that it was two and a bit times the vauxhall gate from the previous midweek is just ridiculous. would be interested to know why they did it.
