Radio Macc:
O'Halloran on for Jacobs, who has limped off following a crunching tackle on him just outside the Barrow box.

Radio Macc:
The end of an action-packed, fast-moving first half, with County still 2-1 up. Barrow looked the more dangerous and confident side in the early stages, although County really picked up after opening the scoring. We officially have a midfield tonight, with Milligan settling in well and Platt having an excellent game. No major contributions as yet from Barrow's ex-Hatters (O'Donnell and Sheridan), but the visiting fans are quite plentiful and in good voice. And their Man at Number Nine looks like Solskjaer! Still anyone's game, but County will be looking quickly to get their noses further in front after the break...

Barrow have the ball in the net... but the Pop Side linesman comes to County's rescue with an offside flag.

Radio Macc: Jeez. A truly dreadful slip by Fagbola lets in the Solskjaer look-alike to make it 2-2.

Moses on for Platt. And Sheridan gets subbed, so at least he won't be haunting us further...

Wonder if fans of any other club in the world find themselves saying "next goal's the winner" when their team is winning 2-0 at home.

Radio Macc:
All over. Not an unreasonable result, on the balance of play, against a clearly in-form side - but very disappointing to have lost a two-goal lead.

Many thanks to Maccy for the updates, his fingers must have been dropping off by the final whistle. Sterling effort, mate, very very much appreciated as always!

Shame about the result, another 2 points escape down the plug-hole.
Cheers Radio Macca and the Gazza Relay station.

Certainly, the error that led to Barrow's equaliser would suggest so, ste - although, over the course of the match, County had to withstand quite a good deal more pressure than our visitors did. I would have settled for a point before kick-off tonight, and a draw was probably the fairest result, but it was still galling to have been two goals to the good against the League's form horses and not gone on to keep all three points safe. Plenty of good individual performances tonight. Milligan had an assured debut, rarely misplacing his passes. And the viciously-inswinging corners that he takes may well reap rewards on subsequent occasions! Losing Jacobs to injury just before half-time was a real blow - and, arguably, should have produced a straight red for Barrow - although his departure wasn't directly responsible for our having to settle for the draw. In fact, O'Halloran slotted in remarkably well on his less-favoured side, and didn't let anyone down. Oates deserved his Man of the Match shout-out from the Match Sponsors. He worked tirelessly up top, and looked completely spent by the end of the game. Battersby wasn't short on effort, either - but was rather less effective than he has been on his previous appearances. If the rumours are true concerning Cowen's departure from the Club, then we once again appear vulnerable in central defence. Lees is consistently fine, but Fagbola (who, to be fair, had been playing solidly enough tonight, prior to his gaffe) remains a worry. Ah, well - onwards and southwards to Gloucestershire. Tonight's programme reports ticket prices of £21 for watching Gloucester at Cheltenham, which, presumably, is meant as a joke. At least, I HOPE it's a joke...
