Just stumbled upon a January interview with BBC Sport, the following quote shows just why the man is such a class act for me : "I want to think about the contract I have now, which is a four-year contract - and I have three and a half years left," he said. "After that, the club knows I don't want to leave. I don't want to think about the next move because I don't have ambition of a next move"........"I don't need a new contract. I don't need more money because I get enough and the club knows because I told them, 'I stay until you want', so when one day Mr Abramovich decides that I am not the man, he tells me and I go."He's a one-off, the article can be found here www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/25773875

he's worth a watch on youtube for his interviews, whether he's being dryly funny or talking seriously about football. i was going to post a 'highlights' video, but it was edited by some self-regarding berk who couldn't help giving us a voiceover...

Comment to Jose on Sky interview tonight:
"Your players didn't turn up for Palace, will they turn up for Paris?"
Very good.

Certainly does miss that little arrogant sarcasm that made him so hatefully charming last time around. He has been broken by the Madrid job it seems. That seems to be a job where only winning the league is a sackable offence!

'the little horse' was still pretty funny, but you can see a lot of it coming now.
