Germany out after losing 2-0 to South Korea - hands up who saw that coming?! Not the Germans I’ve been with today! Most of them disappeared at 4pm and I was left with an American who didn’t know what we were talking about and a Dutch man who was more excited than me! Frankfurt airport is quite somber. Ha ha ha! |

Got to be better than the flight to Tunis. They’ve just announced they’re kicking 40 people off the plane as it can’t refuel in Tunis so need to carry enough to get them back, making the plane too heavy! It would be comical, but an hysterical Tunisian woman has just been carted off by the police. Blimey.

All four of the European nations that qualified for the World Cup via the playoff route have qualified for the knockout stages. With the four countries playing against each other, at least two of them will reach the quarter-finals.

Made it back to blighty , just - we set off at 22:55 and Frankfurt has a night time curfew that kicks in at 23:00! A good journey was made all the sweeter by this beer on the Lufthansa plane - out of date before we even set off! Thankfully, it didn't, erm, knock me out...  |

Eric Dier is a bloody cart horse, he's going to cost us this game. He's got the turning circle of a 192 bus - absolutely awful.

I know why Southgate has done this but that first half was utter crap and exposed just how ordinary our fringe players are, so God help us if we get any injuries or bans in the next round.

Eric Dier is a bloody cart horse, he's going to cost us this game. He's got the turning circle of a 192 bus - absolutely awful. Henderson is basically our only central midfielder of any decent standing. |
