I have to say that I'm quite content with this. Am I happy with our current league status? No. Am I happy that the 5 year plan targets look like being missed? No. Would I be happy with the current management jeopardising the future existence of the club by going full time pro if we weren't able to sustain it financially? Absolutely not! I don't ever wish to be in a position where I'm not sure I'll have a team to support come the start of the new season as I was a few years ago.
It's at times like that that that one realises just how important a role this fantastic little club has had, and happily, continues to have in my life. Jobs, friends, relationships have all come and gone' Life has been alternately good, bad and plain indifferent but County have always been there. Long may it continue without the blue skies thinking of the Mcf**kwits of this world sticking their incompetent oar in.

As the Co op rightly stated we need an update on the 5 year plan and some form of proper communication from the Board.
Silence is golden springs to mind.
I understand we have a communications director so that would be a very good place to start. The boardroom notes in the matchday programme invariably tell us nothing on whats happening off the field...and we only get something when SB writes them.
Am I right in thinking that JG is a human shield for the Board and the onus is on him to communicate with the fans?
Going forwards we need proper and regular updates on what is happening with 'our' club, not just reactive updates to a certain message board going into meltdown.

Am I right in thinking that JG is a human shield for the Board and the onus is on him to communicate with the fans? Probably, mate. However, thanks to Jim not having the unanimous backing of our fan base, he's also their 'sacrificial lamb' if it goes tits up. I think it's fair to say that I'm getting bored of the board!

O’Halloran decides to move on. County defender Stephen O’Halloran has opted not to take up the offer of a new contract at Edgeley Park and decided to look elsewhere for first team football. www.stockportcounty.com/ohalloran-decides-move/

No big surprise. He was unlikely to be a first team regular and would have been cover for LCB or LB. We need better quality if we’re going to be pushing for promotion next season.
He seems a nice chap and leaves on good terms as far as the fans are concerned.

Between our first team, our Curzonian Reserves and our Mancunian tribute act we're getting pretty well represented at this level now!
