Thank goodness my kids are grown up. Feel sorry for you parents with youngsters who will pester you. I remember Italia 90 with a certain empty pocket fondness though. www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-43566749

We're going to be sticking that album in with our TV Mag in a fortnight's time and if the Euro 2016 edition is anything to go by it's going to be an absolute tw## of a week. Bizarrely, I've agreed to do some overtime on the Saturday to get it set up properly, in the hope that it runs smoothly for the rest of the week - I need my bleeding bumps feeling.

haven't watched it yet but there was an itv (i think) doc called 'stuck on you' about panini late last year that's been repeated a couple of times. there is a nostalgia about tearing open a new pack, or that playground mantra of 'got. got. got. got. need. got. got.'

re. the impending world cup, i wouldn't have fancied going much as an english fan anyway with their australopithican hooligans(english hooligans get referred to as 'neanderthal', so there's a need to go even further back down the evolutionary scale for the russians). with the nationalism of last week's elections and the anti-england rhetoric seeded into their media because they don't like being accused of things they've clearly done in leafy salisbury, i imagine it will be more hostile than anything most england fans have ever seen. hope they all come back with world cup holiday tales, but i fear there might be the odd one who will come back in the luggage hold.

I genuinely do fear the worst, mate. My advice to any England fan thinking of going out there is stay at home and enjoy a few more birthdays.

Think you're spot on, sadly, ars. I still can't get my head around why anyone would be daft enough to want to go, though.
