Sad news today - the passing of Tommy Lawrence.

AKA The Flying Pig. Liverpool legend. Weighed almost 14 stone but exceptionally agile and credited
with inventing the sweeper-keeper role.

RIP one of my boyhood heroes. Saw him play in that famous 4th Round replay at Edgeley Park
(and later on Bloomfield Road against Blackpool).

Coaching is about providing football for children, not children for football.
