Hello everyone. Ive followed county heaven closely since day one & rarely go a day without looking (tbh I never go a day without looking but don't wanna sound too sad!!). Pretty much got county in my blood as my dad was born & brought up on Moscow road, which is the road directly behind the pop side over the water. My grandma remained living there, so as a kid, the back view of the pop side stand was a regular Sunday treat! (I'm not bragging, honest!). My first game was against Gillingham sometime in the seventies, though can't really remember it. I became aware I was a county fan a decade or so later, when my ears pricked up on hearing a news reader on the telly saying that county had won 5 nil at home to Hartlepool ( a Friday night obviously). Brett Angell days! I've been hooked ever since. I live in the Yorkshire dales & several months ago a pretty big coincidence occurred. On the weekend of the Harrogate match I had looked on CH & noticed hatter in macc saying he was stopping off at his in-laws in Yorkshire. Couple of days later whilst chatting to my direct neighbour opposite, football was mentioned & a few moments later it clicked!! Hatter in macc was (is) her son in-law!! Small world & all that. We have since met up & I have to say, it's great to have a mate who's a county fan! Anyway it's good to be on board. Cheers

Welcome aboard Moscow. Nice to have you along for the ride. So, how do you rate this season so far then matey? Be great to hear your thoughts. Cheers everyone for the warm welcome! Hi sagesmith. Although I'm not happy with the level of footie we are at at the moment, it's certainly not the be all & end all for me. Just want us to be competitive again, be at the right end of whatever table we find ourselves in & not be too surprised when we win! So that said, I kinda feel quite excited at the moment with this run of form we've found, a good time of the season for it! I watched the highlights of the vauxhall game on CH & I know highlights are highlights but none the less they were impressive & a pleasure to view! Hoping to meet up with hatter in macc Monday night for the BPA match if it ends up being on. Cheers

Just want us to be competitive again, be at the right end of whatever table we find ourselves in & not be too surprised when we win! So that said, I kinda feel quite excited at the moment with this run of form spot on that. occasionally when somebody asks me who we've played and i say 'vauxhall motors' or 'solihull moors', they'll say 'what'? not even 'who', but 'what', like they might have misheard me! it was incredibly worrying to find ourselves losing to the clown bays of this league given that, and the horrible start under bogie followed by the dip in form after AL's first few games...but it's great going to watch county again feeling like we've found the right formula, and hours after the game the warm glow still returning on thinking about it. we've had one or two 'slight returns' (the last one being after we'd finished strongly under jim in the first conference season), so it would be great to continue in good form to the end of the season, cos then it would feel like we might be the real thing.

Clown Bay? The perfect name for a Skrill North team. There's a few teams we've come up against who are only 11 red noses short of being just that.

Clown bay.... That is brilliant! no creative credit for me this time! on the skrill north forum, all the teams have nicknames. hence there was a pre-season debate about whether we were to be 'stuckport' (the winner), 'rockport', 'stayput' or 'stockpot'... i quite like their 'disguiseley' as well, although for me, they could also be the spaceport on tattooine - mos guiseley...
